Nintendo has launched its mobile Switch app for iOS and Android devices, adding a lot of previously unsupported conveniences like voice chat and game invites. Promising to “enhance your online gameplay experience”, or basically make it actually work as expected in 2017 (… kind of), the app also features some game-specific services, including SplatNet for Splatoon 2. It’s free until until 2018, when the company will apparently start charging a $19.99 annual subscription fee. In the meantime, perhaps somebody wants to test Nintendo’s HQ for a carbon monoxide leak.
