Destiny‘s inscrutable fish-faced dealer of wantable things managed to get out of the Tower before it exploded, presumably while doing stunt double work on a new Resident Evil game, and is now open for business in a new location in the sequel.
As expected, the Agent of the Nine turned up at 11:00 local time this morning, but as not so expected, on Nessus in the Watcher’s Grave patrol zone. His inventory is somewhat more limited than previously, featuring only four exotic items and no ammo syntheses (NOOOOO!) or engrams or other random stuff. He’s also apparently decided that strange coins are no longer acceptable tender, and is now selling his vendibles for legendary shards instead. This week, that includes:
- Merciless (fusion rifle) – 29 legendary shards
- Raiden Flux (Hunter chest armour) – 23 legendary shards
- Doom Fang Pauldron (gauntlets) – 23 legendary shards
- Wings of Sacred Dawn (Warlock chest armour) – 23 legendary shards
According to the inevitably disappointed* Xur megathread on Reddit, all items are power level 265 with a +5 mod attached. You’ve got until 11:00 local time on Sunday, when he packs up his shit and closes shop until next Friday, and it starts over.
*You’ll know if you played the first one, but essentially, Xur’s wares are disappointing except when they’re not but they almost always are. Like every other loot drop in the game.
