Project Cars 2 developer Slightly Mad Studios may very well be working on a Fast & Furious tie-in, based on a few hints dropped (with the subtlety of a hand grenade) by studio boss Ian Bell. We’re reading between the lines here, but it’s hard not to pick up what he’s putting down.

“Guess what the latest Need for Speed game is doing, and have a think about which Hollywood film they’re copying,” said Bell, chipping in during YouTube user¬†SpotTheOzzie’s Project Cars 2 stream. “And then I can tell you we have a six year deal with that major Hollywood company that’ll beat what Need for Speed is doing. For the next six years.”

There’s some room for interpretation there, since the film in question isn’t mentioned by name, but just to make sure to hammer the hint home Bell closed off with a pretty blatant Vin Diesel reference. “If you look at me, I’m a bald guy and I work out a bit,” he said. “So that’s a clue.”

Slightly Mad Studios definitely has the credentials to pull of a Fast & Furious game. But does this mean we still have to sit through six more years of Fast & Furious movies as well?
