If you’re a connoisseur of shooting people in the face (within the confines of a video game, NRA weirdo), but you like to do it sneaky like, then you would have had an absolute joy of a time with IO Interactive’s brilliant episodic Hitman series. To celebrate this unexpected return to form for a long-running franchise which had been struggling to remain relevant, we’re now being treated to a Game Of The Year Edition, coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC next month.

The Hitman: GOTY Edition will include the first season in its entirety, as well as the all new Patient Zero campaign – four new missions spread across reworked versions of the Bangkok, Sapienza, Colorado, and Hokkaido areas of operation. You’ll get three new outfits and themed weapons to match, and three Escalation Contracts to go along with those new looks too.

There’s also a pretty sizeable update on the way for those who already own of the various Hitman episodes, with the stand-out feature being the addition of Xbox One X enhancements including native 4K support and increased framerate.  There’s also a user interface redesign incoming, as well as lighting improvements, Tobii eye tracking support for PC, and a number of other fixes and improvements.

Hitman: GOTY Edition, as well as that chunky update, will be released digitally on 7 November.
