Epic Games has announced that the iOS version of the game that everyone wants to play is now open to everyone, assuming you have hardware that’s up to the task, so you can stop begging for Fortnite invitations from your friends.

The hugely popular battle royale shooter launched on Apple’s platform earlier this year, but until now has only been accessible via invitation. So, similar to how Google launched Google Plus, except that Fortnite is actually quite cool. The mobile version is getting relatively high praise, even comparing well to the Xbox One X version, although you can expect results to vary depending on the horsepower hidden within you iOS device’s beautiful chassis.

On that subject, here’s a full list of compatible Apple devices:

  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 6S & 6S Plus
  • iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
  • iPhone 8 & 8 Plus
  • iPhone X
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad 2017
  • iPad Pro

You can head over to your local App Store and pop Fortnite in your download queue right now – although, I haven’t checked if that includes the South African App Store, which has a history of being tragically backwards… give me a moment.

Okay, yes, it’s available locally, and it’s free. Get to it, ladies and gents.
