Microsoft has confirmed eight more games for its like-Netflix-but-for-games Xbox Game Pass service next month, including co-op zombie apocalypse survive-’em-up State of Decay 2 and the turbo-fun kitchen sim Overcooked.

The sequel to Undead Labs’ 2013 zombie apocalypse survive-’em-up, State of Decay 2 adds co-op and… does it even matter? Co-op was the only thing missing from that game, and everything else is a bonus extra. It’s launching on 22 May on Xbox One and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass the same day as part of Microsoft’s new plan to sell you “free” things for the price of a monthly subscription.

For those people who want to end a significant relationship but don’t have the guts to actually do it properly with a text or one of those “I was looking for friends” Tinder accounts, Overcooked’s inevitable onion soup holocaust can save you the time and inconvenience, and nobody is gonna forget that party.

Other games coming to the Xbox Game Pass catalogue in May, according to the press stuff, include Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, Laser League, The Escapists, Homefront: The Revolution, Unmechanical: Extended, and Sonic & Knuckles, and from 26 April until 8 May, you can get a one month subscription for the even-cheaper-than-chips price of only R5. Deal? Deal.
