Allo!

Sorry to bother you all, but I really need help with this.

Aparrently there is no internet for the wii in SA, however, they say that if you say you are in the UK on the wii, it will let you access the internet!

But it hasn't really worked out for me...

I have tried googling it but it has only made me more confused. To make matters worse I know little about computers. I know some. But I'm not sure if what I know will be much use to this situation.

I appear to have a broadband ADSL (Lan for the home computer and wireless for my laptop.) connection with Axxess.

I really need (Well... want, internet on a wii isn't a need, but to me its pretty close!) help with this.

Thank yer kindly!

I didn't have a problem with it at all, myself. Also, it's not that 'the wii doesn't have internet', but rather that the Wii Store isn't available when your console's region is set to SA, so it won't work. Other online features still do, afaik. Either way isn't a problem, though, since you can change the region setting whenever you like.

As long as your router has a wireless connection (as it appears to) you really shouldn't have a problem connecting your wii to the network and, subsequently, to the internet. What exactly is the problem you're having?

Well, its odd, really.

It finds the connection, I get the correct password. (Or I assume so because it doesn't complain when I type it in.) it then trys to connect and then, well, it fails.

Error code: 51331.
Unable to connect to the internet. Choose connection settings and then confirm your connection.

(It says this after the connection test of afore said connection.)

Most likely scenario: you've got your WEP key wrong, or your wi-fi setup doesn't use a WEP key at all.

Just because it doesn't turn up an error when you enter the key means nothing. It only checks when it attempts to connect.

Ok, forget ALL of my edits of this post except this one. (You know, if you saw them.) I have found AND used the correct WPA of my router and it still comes up with the same problems.

EDIT:
Don't forget this edit right yet though. Anybody know where to find the router's settings?

EDIT:
*tear drop*

I- I've done it! My wii is updating itself even as I type!
Thanks for the help! Is it possible for me to lock my own topic, or must I ask somebody to do that for me?

Bye bye joejoe. I really doubt we'll ever see you away from your Wii ever again.

You'll have to come back to school one day tho.

IS it like the interwebs you get with a PC?

Sort of. I don't have the interwebs yet though. I can play Mario Kart and Smash Bros. online at the moment. But in order to get the internet channel (And world of goo for wii.) I must first buy some nintendo points. (Which I hope to do at the end of this month.)

EDIT:

The big N has done Sport, music and fitness on the wii, I'm sure education isn't far away... I can learn from that! XD
