Most probably 1 or 2 LED lights, they are small and bright.

I'm not entirely sure, but examination of one of the pictures (the bottom-left thumbnail) reveals what does indeed appear to be a cord of some sort.

(The website linked-to as a reference on the website linked-to above has a wonderful zooming feature - simply click on the image, then click on the control in that appears at teh top-left of the image, and use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out.)
