Okay here is the deal. I need to rip a Blu-Ray disc onto a hard drive and have absolutely no clue about what software to use. Before you all scream, "PIRATE!!!" at me, this is perfectly legit, we own the discs in question but require a HD rip of one of them to send to a client overseas. We are a film company and do regular ripping of show reels from DVD using Super DVD Ripper so I was wondering if any of you would know of similar software for Blu-Ray. Oh, yeah...theres a catch. I need Mac compatible software for this. Any help would be much appreciated.
You will also need a Blu-Ray compatible optical drive....normal CD/DVD drives won't work. Do you have such a thing?

Yeah, we've got external Blu-Ray writers, they are the only ones compatible with Mac. So hardware is not the issue here, only software. Preferably legally purchased software, and not shareware/ trial versions/ cracked versions, is what we require. Reason being trials and the like leave behind watermarks.

I would have suggested other stuff if it was a Windows PC, but being a Mac this might be a bit difficult. Have you tried searching the Apple Store? They're bound to have something there. Otherwise, you can send a message to the tomshardware.co.uk team and ask them what Blu-ray ripping software they would use for a Mac, because they use this method to test decrypted HD playback on netbooks and laptops without dvd drives.

Why not plug the external into a windows pc and use windows software. It'll be much easier to find.

That's what I was thinking but our Research guys want to do it themselves(they're all on Mac), which in itself is quite scary. They are all a bunch of technically incompetent creatives so it will probably be easier for me to just do it.

+1. I agree, the solution may not be ideal for the creative okes, but is certainly the one with the least hassles in the long run.
