If anyone remembers the 1982 animated movie, The Secret of NIMH, they may be interested to hear that another adaptation of the book that The Secret of NIMH was based on, is in production.

Judging by some of those involved in this project, such as the involvement of a Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D producer suggests that the movie may be in 3D... or will have... "features".

Also, for those interested in the book that both of these film adaptations are based on, here you go (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mrs._Frisby_and_the_Rats_of_NIMH)

Hmmm. The original movie was awesomely epic, I dont think many can top that. I remember introducing my ex-girlfriend to the Secret of Nimh, she loved it. I think all children, my future ones included, should watch this movie and others like the Land Before Time, and The Lion King, stuff like that (oddly enough, watching the Lion King as a kid allowed me to draw many parallels to, and fully understand the play Macbeth).

Wait was this the movie about rat/mice/things that have to get something cure a sick mouse/rat/thing? If so I hardly remeber that movie or the sequel. I think I have a old VHS Cassete of it somewhere though.

I have it on VHS, that movie scared me as a kid, much like The B.F.G. animated movie scared me. ;)

Looking at them now, I think it's because both had a darker atmosphere, not in story, but in the look. Not to mention in Nimth, Mrs Frisby develops creepy magical powers when her husband was the one with the lab-mouse history.
