Hi guys reformatted and backup everything yesterday. Problem is batman arkham asylum either refuses to recognise my saves or says its corrupt. How I hate windows live, all other games steam include had no issue when I copied the save games back into their main folders.

i had the same Problem with my dawn of war 2. Just picked up a dandy suit of Terminator armor. But i suddenly needed to re-install windows. When i moved my saves to the original place, the game wouldnt register it.
But to answer your question, sadly i dont know how.

As far as I know, you can't keep saves for any G4W Live game.

So in other words you are telling me I am screwed G4W live is a crap system?? Thankfully I finished Batman before I did the format. But this pretty much confirms why I hate the live system.

I'm also quite frustrated that there seems to be no way to restore your previously saved games in Arkham Asylum.

You can backup your saves as well as the DLC's in Fallout 3.

The DLC for batman arkham asylum restores, its just the saves which is the issue.

So you backed up the GFWL saves as well? Meaning the ones in your AppData folders? I'm assuming Vista or 7, of course..
Well when I moved from Vista to W7, I had the same problem with my GTAIV saves, but I managed to sort it out...
See, each time you reformat, GFWL generates its own folder when you install it, and that folder is where your games' saves will be, err, saved, in future..
So if you DO have your old saves, what you need to do is start up the game and make some arbitrary save so that the folder generates.. Then go into your GFWL folder and find the most recently accessed folder in there.. That's the only way I've figured out how to find it, since "Date Modified" is a hell of a lot more helpful than the randomly generated code that names the folders...
Now, once you've found that recently accessed folder, there should be a save currently stored in there.. The arbitrary one that you created.. Now, you just copy all of your backed up saves into THAT folder.. Manually...
Yes, it's a bit of a job, but it'll save you a good bit of effort if you're far into your game and don't want to restart....
Hope it helps...
EDIT:
I'll reiterate.. This only helps IF you've backed up the folders that were stored in your "Users -> Username -> AppData -> Local" folder, assuming Vista or W7... If not, then, sorry.. :)
