Hey guys.

For those of us who want to be saved and live a pious and simple life, I have news for you:

http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/11/17/google-chrome-os-launch/

It would seem that progress is being made. I have heard rumours of release dates in June next year.

I just hope that it looks good.

So do I Miktar, so do I.

That is the official release and from a couple of other reviews I read, it seems like there are some negative points according to them.

In my opinion, anything is better than Micro****.

Why?

Why?

Probably because Windows costs money :-p

I'm also excited about Chrome, and I hope its going to be all Google claims, and more. With the backing of such a massive company, the OS could very well be a contender for note and netbook hard drive space over Windows. The kernel scan upon boot is an impressive security measure, and being a Linux distro it'll be free and customizable. And I love the minimalist idea and only having the browser to begin with, less clutter and bloat to begin with. I wonder what the desktop's going to look like, and whether Google will use GNOME or KDE or its own GUI. If it's based off Red Hat I won't like it, but if it's a Debian variant and anything like Ubuntu, then I'll install it and use it on something later.

@Wesley: We already know what the desktop looks like - photos are everywhere. For weeks already.
