Indiana Jones 5 has been talked about a few times since Indie 4 hit theaters and the early talk was that Shia Labeouf who played his son in Indiana Jones 4 would be taking over the franchise. This is a REALLY bad idea and an attempt to draw in a younger audience but for me only one guy can be indie... regardless of how old Harrison Ford is getting. In an interview with MTV Harrison Ford revealed that he is not signed on but not against starring in the new film which George Lucas is working on;

"I don't think I'll do it in a wheelchair," ..... "George [Lucas] is working on an idea, and if it comes to a fruitful stage, all of us are very interested in making another."

"I think it would be interesting to advance the understanding of the character, as we always have had that ambition throughout the series," Ford said of what he needs to see in an "Indy 5" script before he's willing to step on the gas like Short Round in a Shanghai taxi cab. "I think it would be interesting to deepen the relationship between he and his son [Mutt, played by Shia LaBeouf] and play on that relationship. ... It's full of opportunity. The series is full of opportunity."

Not sure I am sold on Indie 5 but with Harrison Ford starring it at least is a step in the right direction.

I, for one, have seen enough of Shia for one lifetime. His screams irritate me and his boyish look makes him look like a ten year old trying to act as a 30 year old. The beard in Eagle Eye doesn't do much either.

This seems quite dodge. I personally liked Indy 4. It was nowhere near as awesome as 1-3, but it was a good movie. Plus Shia LaBeof is probably one of the most annoying talentless actors of our time IMO. The last thing we need is Indiana Jones: The next generation.

I did, it was pretty good. Shia LaBeouf was okay in it, I guess. Still his character ****ed me off in Indy 4, he had no place there. I hope his character dies or something.

I loved all the Indiana Jones, but I really think 2-4 were all of equal quality, the only that REALLY stands out is Raiders of the Ark. I believe they could easily pull off an enjoyable, thrilling sequel.

Yes. Didn't like it very much. It was the movie that started my hate for Shia.

At that stage he was just your average teenage actor. It was the Transformers movies that really ****ed his credibility.
Disturbia wasn't bad either hey.

This. A thousand times this.

I think Harrison needs throw in the whip and hat and call it a day. Don't tarnish the name of a good franchise for the sake of milking the cash-cow.
