How many times?

This is a pretty simple one. How many times have you finished the game you have finished the most times? Obviously this only relates to games that have a storyline with beginning and end. Also please list what game it is, even if you don't remember the amount of times.

I'd say it's between Freelancer and Max Payne, both good games, not brilliant, but fun as hell to finish over and over and over again. Both are hanging in around 5 times.

Diablo 2 + exp. I'd have to say at least 6 times. I'd still be willing to finish it again tomorrow.

Hmm, yeah, I'd say I've finished D2 about twice, and with the expansion another three times or so.

What I've finished the most though - has to be the combined Hero's Quest and Quest for Glory 1 (they're essentially the same game, so - you know...) at least seven times. First run when it came out, I finished it with each character, and again with each character plus the thief again when it was remade (and quite possibly once more after that, can't rightly remember).

Crystal Caves oddly enough. Old DOS game I enjoyed. must have finished it at least 6 times, but in the past 8 years. I can finish it in one sitting now, cause I know how to finish all the levels :P

Half life 2 : ~3 times
Red Alert 2(Both +Exp) : 3-4 times.
Tiberian Sun : ~4 times
Quake 2 : 8-10 Times

Baldurs Gate 2 - 3 or 4 times.

Unfortunately the game would have to be really good for me to actually keep on playing it. I generally exhausted all possible means of finishing and going about finishing Deus Ex. BG 2 is too large to actually play the same way each and every time.

I've probably finished Diablo2 and it's expansion in excess of 50 times. It's one of those games I just kept coming back to when I needed to veg out a little, try a new character build and go from there. I can probably finish the whole thing from scratch with a new char in about 7-8 hours...

No, I only defeated Baal on Hell once. The rest where all either Nightmare or normal.

I've never finished a game more than once (with story lines) - After its finished, its over to either skirmish modes or other multiplayer abilities. I for one dont like to play the same story line over and over, its just not the same as the first time around (i'll rather play slower and take every little detail in) and i think thats why i dont finish games over again.

Geez, this is difficult. I'd say Super Mario Brothers (on the NES) Must have finished that like 10+ times. As for recent games I am busy with Resident Evil 4 for the 4th time. Finished it in Cube, then PS2, then played it on expert mode on Cube and now on Wii. I have also completed MGS 1,2,3 about 3 times each.

Probably Dune2:Battle for Arrakis, around a dozen times. I was a kid with no money and a crummy pc.
I think I finished Neverwinter Nights (the first one) about 2 or 3 times, the first expansion about 3 times and the second expansion around 4 or 5 times.
Diablo 2, of course, quite a few times. But mostly while co-op lanning with friends.
Beyond that I've never really replayed much. A really solid title might see me give it a second go, but otherwise it gets shelved.

Seriously though, I've finished fallout 2 well over 10 times (always discover something new in that game) and Final Fantasy 8 about 9 or so times (yes, it still entertains me thoroughly, and if my PS2 could still read disks, I'd play it again).

Nope. Not a typo... I have tons of characters, each using a different build for a certain class. I really enjoyed testing out what worked and what didn't. For instance: Solo Paladins rock until they hit hell difficulty, then they get stalled by physical immunes like you wouldn't believe. Although I have yet to try a hammerdin (like someone else in this thread mentioned, means he's mainly using Blessed Hammer with various supporting auras). As of 1.10 Barbarians got fiendishly hard to play solo in hell :(

The combos in that game are simply awesome. I love it...

I have only finished D2 exp on hell 1 time but I have finished Easy and normal probably 20 + times solo and like 30 + times multi player with my friend. We used to finish normal like 3 times a week we loved that game so much. Man those were good times we always tried to get to hell then as soon as we got there we would start new characters coz we were board. Then one day I got all smard and downloaded a character editor and we havent played it since. :( man how I regret that. And to this day it is still my favirout

I consider a leveling process from 1-70 in WoW as a finish.
Considering the fastest I've taken a char from 1-70 in, is 6 days played, it's quite substantial. Thats 6x24=144 hours.
I've got 5 level 70's.
Longest played on any single character is 144 days = 3456 hours.
I'm gonna throw it out there and say that the amount of time spent playing WoW is equivalent to 80 finishes of any normal game.

No, I mean played 6 days in total over a period of like a month. So it is actually 144 hours.
That means 144 hours spent sitting on your computer.
When you type /played in WoW it comes up with the counter, so you will see something like:
