Johannesburg, South Africa ? 28 September, 2010 ? rAge, the country?s most cutting-edge showcase of games, gadgets and lifestyle entertainment products is preparing to blow minds from 01- 03 October at the Coca-Cola Dome. Now in its eighth year, expectations are high as hundreds of gaming enthusiasts, families and exhibitors are set to storm the expo over the 3 days.
?Visitors to rAge range from 10-year old gamers that are just starting out, hard core enthusiasts who want to play the latest games on display, and families looking for a great day out together, ? says Yvette van Rooyen, Xbox Product & Marketing Manager in South Africa. ?Xbox 360 is using rAge to give visitors a sneak peek at some of the year?s most anticipated releases.?
Fable 3, the latest installment to the action-packed and critically acclaimed franchise, will be on display at the Xbox 360 stand, giving fans a sneak preview before its release later in October. Fable 3 will feature an ensemble cast of renowned actors and voice talents, including Stephen Fry, John Cleese and Sir Ben Kingsley.
The Xbox 360 stand will be giving visitors a chance to play with Kinect before its launch in November. The revolutionary new way to play, tracks your full body movement in 3-D, no controller required ? you are the controller. Kinect is fun for the whole family bringing together adventure and sports games, as well as an opportunity for the little ones to train up their own wild kittens in Kinectimals.
For avid online gamers, there will also be the opportunity to see what Xbox LIVE holds for South Africa and what the service entails. For those that haven?t gone out a bought their own copy yet, Halo: Reach will also be at the stand to play around with.
