SSFIV Offline Session

Hey Guys

Was just wondering if anyone is interested in having an offline meet-up for some SSFIV gaming. We organized an offline session last month that had a decent turnout and great venue, was lots of fun and thought I'd try get more guys to come out and have a couple games.

If we can get over 20 guys there will most likely be a casual tournament as well and some prizes up for grabs.

We are looking at the date either being the 13th November or the 20th November, it isn't a final date yet we are just waiting to see what date everyone is happy with.

Hope to see a lot of new faces.

The venue will most likely take place at the action cricket arena in Alberton, lots of TV's to use so everyone can always have a match.

Lol yeah I know, it's about a 50-60km drive for me but the venue that we have their is great. It seems to be the best option since there are 5 TV's that are easily accessible as well as a bar for food and drinks and a nice sitting area for anyone who just wants to watch the matches.

Now this has my attention. While I will participate in non competitive matches (because honestly not a lot of my friends play fighting games except for Tekken so I believe I don't get practice out of them, ie I believe I suck at the moment) I would rather enjoy watching matches and learning.

But will SSFIV be the only one? What about MvC3 when it gets released?

Hell I have a friend that has the game board for Killer Instinct all he needs is a cabinet. If he eventually comes around to that maybe we can arrange something...

Well if you want to learn there will be plenty opportunities to speak to anyone that plays a certain character you may like and give some pointers on what your doing wrong or how to be more affective with the stuff you know and integrated it with stuff you don't know. There is always something to learn in SSFIV.

MvC3 won't be played until it is released, I have spoken to someone at Nu-Metro to see if we can organize a build of the game for the day, am waiting to here some feedback from them.

So far the only game will be SSFIV which will be used for the tournament we will be having, just a fun little thing and then on the side some Blazblue Continuum Shift

So just a last little update:

tournament is starting this week Saturday, for anyone that wants to come be there from around 11:00-11:30 am.

It is taking place at Meyersdal Action arena in Alberton

The venue is free of charge but we just need to charge R 20-00 entrance fee to cover the cost of staff for the day to run the bar and kitchen for us.

There will be plenty of consoles and arcade sticks/Pads for people to use.

We are also getting some sponsored prizes for the winners as well as some very cool customized posters for certain prizes through out the day. Some examples:
