View Full Version : Bad Company 2 SA Server woes

Umm... okay so I try to play BBC2 online tonight and get slapped in the face when I saw that all of SGS and iGames' servers are all offline.

I've mailed SAIX and I'm still waiting to find out what the hell is going on. Does anybody else know why this is happening? I heard from a friend that SGS hadn't paid their Punkbuster fees and cannot stop hackers anymore either.

Has BBC2 died in SA? Or am I looking in the wrong direction for servers? In any case I hope it's the latter.

The WAGE servers generally have better people on anyway.

Then why are they all greyed out then? Meesa confused!

[EDIT] Seems like it's back online now, but as per Chevron's suggestion I joined the WAGE servers and he's right. It is more fun! (Except for a guy named ScorpZA he can't stop swearing XD)

Chances are everyone's on Medal of Honour Tier one missions. Dude, it's refucudiculously good.

I used to play Battlefield 2142 when it first came out and the squad and team play was a hella lot better from what I experience on BBC2, everyone uses the squad feature just as a spawn advantage. I play on the SGS servers because it's kind of the only ones I know of.

Is it just on the SGS servers? I will try out these WAGE servers some time, maybe its different.

Hmm..i tried Play BFBC2 (PC) MultiPlay, i even registerd an account n guess what, Not once did it find any games or servers..just keep throwin me the ''Cannot connect'' or ''Cant find a game'' (sumthing like that :S) AND THEN, one day, ''Your version of Battlefield BC2 is outdated'' O_O WTF?? Serious.

Have Any1 Xperienced that too? Please Help!? :(

:? Not that i can remember, but, what Punkbuster anyways..i dont pay attention to such ?? things 'coz it seems like spy-ware to me.. :S

Use the Link (http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php) and download pbsetup and install click on add game(bfbc2) and select update... and done! You can now play without getting kicked :)

..sorry Incognito, I was just really happy to see some of my old friends from BF2 when we played for VC... Lawd Vader was probably the one swearing actually :-)

LOL I can see that most of my DF clan member was in that server with you LOL (I can't play this game anymore :( I'm =DF= Col.A Handy Cap in battlefield bad company 2)

My woes right now is that Steam seems to have run out of keys for this, so I have t wait for them to wake up before I can even start installing.

Lol no need to apologise, I also get vocal when playing this game online, ask Ghost_jr. BTW I'm Grav3staR online in BBC2 but I haven't been playing the game in almost a year now. Have been practicing BF2 to prepare for the chaos of BF3 ;)


My woes right now is that Steam seems to have run out of keys for this, so I have t wait for them to wake up before I can even start installing.

Wow, that sucks hard! Why not mail the steam support staff to get their arses in gear?

Ah, it's not too serious. I'm going to spend the next day waiting for my game to finish downloading anyways, so they can take their time. It's been unlocked so I can install now. Just the issue of no keys. The people who bought extra DLC are in ****e, though, as they can't access it either. Not even if they have owned BC2 previously.

Hmmm. Haven't got the DLC m'self. Is it needed to play on the servers or is it like Black Ops where there are still servers that don't require DLC?

Nah, I don't think so. Vietnam seems to be a total overhaul mod, and the SPECTACT is just to change the look of your character. I only bought the base game of BC2.

Oh, and which servers do you bunch of naglings usually play on?

i play on Igame servers mostly .. commanche but i prefer th non HC servers .. I normally jam with the Synergy okes

I used to play on SGS, but after Chevron's suggestion I only played on either WAGE or igame servers. Last I played a SGS server it was ruined by hackers. And apparently friends of mine said they couldn't join any SGS servers.

BTW Ghost's PC keeps throwing a blue screen and rebooting when he tries to play BBC2. And it is the ONLY game that does this. It's never done it before though...
