Die Jason was threatening to start this thread a while ago but we didn't think there would be audience for this...

I do a mean Ge Korsten by the way.

The Ge Korsten is probably for Bulls Supporters . . . "met 'n eks_boks " . . . I'll pass . . .

To me this has all the appeal of a vetkoek. But hey, who am I to judge? I'd jump on a Singstar: Richard Cheese version.

Huh? I didn't even know people remembered half those songs.

Im one of the most Afrikaans people I know , and this does not strike me as a MUST GET game ;) my gf would like it though .. and it must be a sell out in The blue country.

And know most of the Pretoria north and west clubs still play these songs on a regular basis

Goeie bliksem, ek is nou lus vir 'n vetkoet (no really Squirly, I haven't had one for a long time).

But back on topic, I really think this is fantastic on Sony's part to release a product with local flavour. If I had a PS3 I would have purchased this, because drunken singing is fun. Afrikaans drunken singing will be epic.

Yes, it's good on Sony's part to release something like this with local flavour, but couldn't they just have chosen a better playlist? I mean seriously, who in thei right mind sings a karaoke song that goes parapapapapapapapa all the time?

Have you done drunk karaoke before? Because I can guarantee you that song will be a hit.

Boney M? Where? ;)

No really, which song are you liking to be referring to? I thought they managed to get a good blend of mainstream Afrikaans cheese going there, it even has Jack Parow! And specifically for you Bonez, it even has some Zoid \o/ Shame about Steve though :P

EDIT: Nevermind, the Snotkop song? Never heard any of his music.

Bonezmann

Yes, that would be the Snotkop song. Also, that particular song of Karen Zoid contains more speech and shouting that actual singing, they really could have chosen better songs, even from her.

Like I said, very good idea, ****ty playlist...

Even with Jack Parow on it it still sucks. Do you know why? It's probably the censored version, which as we all know, is kak.

There is a big market for Afrikaans Sing Star, but not that big that I would invest money in it... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anybody buy the game? Or will nobody admit that? ;)

You don't want to feel alone, do you? :D

But there is just no way I would tell anyone if I bought this. I would hide it at the back of the cupboard and only take it out on special occasions. Like when I'm really drunk.

My old PS2's laser is completely wonky and I don't own a PS3, so no way I could play it ;)

Wait, is that a PSN logo I see under your avatar? Why can't I view it? Did you disable viewing for it? Got something to hide? ;)

In other words: 'I have it hidden in my cupboard and play it when I'm drunk'

Also, what Die Jason said about the PSN thing... We're onto you.

O yeah, I forgot it's only for the PS. Maybe I should get this. Just to make sure they got all the lyrics right, you know. Not that I know all the lyrics of anything. I totally don't.

You shut your mouth.

Tbh, I think this is an awesome addition to any karaoke collection.

Boney M? Where? ;)
Interestingly enough, South Africa were one of their biggest markets, and they were awesome.

ASKIES?! offence TAKEN!!!!! nee man sies, not all the norfies listen to that crap even though the clubs play it alot (how I miss CR). maybe the minority, but I'll let you know, there's a lekker possie there in wonderboom where a lot of metal bands assemble about once a month, and A LOT of the norfies are there. You just need to know the right people.

To me, the disease of the afrikaans music is unfortunately everywhere.

lol, ye ye, I know, most of my friends live there, and we ALWAYS moan about drinking a beer somewhere because we NEVER like the music, so I know what you mean.

The worst is karaoke Wednesdays (I think it's still on Wednesday).

Don't worry, I was joking about the offense, I know how the norfff works ;)

Guys, you can take this convo to PM if you're not discussing the game.
