Anybody wants to get in on the action, add me on Steam and we can get this thing going. We can get each other on Steam before the game starts to agree on a name/password for the server. Who's with me? Please reply, I don't get so excited for an online game often, and I really want this to be fun! :)

And? How did it go? Me and CyniKill logged a good game last night, together with another player from SA (200-Kenobi or something) and some idiot from somewhere else (he kept shooting the witches and dying in Heavy Rain campaign), and I'm seriously looking for some more players. I added Cleric as a friend, but he never confirmed, thus, he wasn't available last night :(

PS: The other guy was funny, he played with a 400+ ping and funny enough walked right up to a witch, stood against her and threw a molotov. I LOL'd. I don't think he knew about the achievement when you leave all the witches in peace. :)

Anyone up for another game tonight? We play on WAGE server, so pings are low (below 100). Also, I play on Freezone :D Just drop me a PM, I want to play at around 20:00 or 20:30 again, but I'll probably be up from around 19:00. 21:00 tends to get too late :/

Recently, however, when I start up L4D2 it causes the screen to black out and produces the error : Mode Not Supported. I've tried reducing all the graphics settings in game (when I borrowed someone else's screen where I didn't have the same problem) and my out of game screen settings (like refresh rates). The graphics driver was also updated over the weekend and hasn't seemed to help. Any other ideas?

I just did some searching and apparently it might have something to do with the refresh rate. The person who had the problem also said the refresh rate reset every time he started the game This was a fix for the first L4D, but it should work for you as well.


Right click L4D on the Steam Library, click Properties, click "Set Launch Options" and type "-refresh 60".

Hope that works for you.

That guy was beyond stupid. :P Every time he saw a witch he'd stand right in front of it and start shooting, then die.

Was a fun game, though. Sucked that I died at the start of the last level. :(

If you can find the settings file for L4D2, you could also try deleting it so that it has to generate a new one next time you open the game. Might be something in there causing it.

I played a 2v2 at a LAN once. Was fun as hell, but we could tell it would've been a lot better with more people.

9PM in the evenings is a little late for me. I got most Sunday afternoons free, from around 12:00 (except for lunch) until around 18:00. Then I go to church and I'm back at around 19:45. Then I'm in. Weekdays work for me anything from 16:30 and up. I'll prefer not playing too late, as I have to get up early for work :/

Just make a date and a time, and if someone doesn't fit in, it isn't the end of the world.

We can:

1. Play on WebAfrica's servers (my preferred choice, as I'm almost out of cap, damn YouTube comedy)
2. Play on a game hosted by anyone of us, but then the ping is high (ask CyniKill, I hosted the other day and he had a 700+ ping)
3. Request WebAfrica's servers to host a game for us or find out how to use the WebAfrica bot so host for us (also not a bad idea)

I'll contact the WAGE peoples and ask for options (on the forums, via ticket system, etc.), let me know what you'd like. WAGE servers are pretty decent, I play with a sub-50 ping 90% of the time, which isn't half bad.

Just join the WAGE group in Steam, and the servers will show on your start screen. I cannot remember how I joined though, but I'm pretty sure it was either CyniKill or someone else on here who showed me where to go to join. Much love <3

Versus is campaign mode, though. Instead of the special zombies being AI controlled, they're controlled by humans. Makes the entire campaign a LOT more difficult, though.

Verify your files. Right-click on the game icon in Steam and click "properties". Search through the tabs until you find the "Verify integrity of game cache" or something similar in one of the tabs. Click it, and follow steps to fix the files.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw the messed up times. Saw one of my earlier posts reading as "17 hours ago" but I know for a fact I posted it this morning. I restarted my PC and cleared the browser's history and cache to see if it helped. Though I was going insane... :O

It's because you haven't played it 1002 times like the others yet. I remember Dead Centre being a seriously ****ed up map when I first played the game.

Easiest solution would be to let everyone who wants in to simply add us, even if they aren't part of the NAG community. Easier to fill a Versus on a slow night then.
