Marvel vs Capcom 3 Tournament

So what started as a casual offline session has now developed into a full blown tournament :) yay

Lots of behind the scene smack talk and challenges being thrown out so we decided to get people to put their money where their mouths are and prove that they can back up their smack talk.

All information will be sent to you via email upon registration including start times, directions and rules. Please remember to register if you want to compete. Registration should be open by the end of the week and I will keep you updated on all the other details.

Registration is free and so is the entrance. We will be running on a PS3 setup. Any controller will be allowed provided no turbo functions etc are enabled.

The winner of the tournament will receive a free pre-ordered copy of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 which they can collect at AWX in Brightwater Commons on release date which looks to be the 25th November 2011.

Even if you do not want to enter the tournament you can still come through for some casual matches as these will be run in the background through out the day. So all those closet Marvel players get out there and help build the scene :)

Just a little update, unfortunately due to some unfortunate circumstances we have had to change the venue of where the tournament will be taking place.

An email will be sent to all entrants that have registered next week with directions to the new venue.

Please try to be there by 11:30-12 as we would like to start at around that time.

Little update.

Since Get Hype is all about the games and Deus Ex is releasing on the weekend of the tournament we have decided to print an A1 block mounted canvas poster that we will give away on the day.

If you have registered online then you have already been entered, we will do a random draw on the day.

Trust me the thing will look awesome especially in Canvas style and will definitely be something worth keeping.

Haha that's fine :) I have enough money so I'll look at it as giving you a little down payment for your new car :) lol

Guys also making plans to do a mystery fighting game draw competition from the PS1 era, it will be a single elimination best out of 3 rounds and finals will be best out of 5.

Not going to say what the prize is going to be just yet but would like some input from the community just say which you like best number 1-5 :)
