Hey Guys
So since MvC3 is such an awesome game :) I thought it would be best for it to have it's own thread.
Maingaming has been advertising this event for a few weeks now and we are just under 2 weeks away from the tournament.
Get Hype has also come on board, thanks to MainGaming, to help with the event and make it as successful as we can.
The previous time we can together we were able to hold a Mortal Kombat tournament with over 80 entries. Easily the biggest fighting game tournament SA has had. We are hoping to do this again.
I know a lot of you with be at Rage on the Sunday but try come out and support. The more support we get the more events we can have and the bigger the community can become.
Everyone wanting to participate in the event can register online at MainGaming:
http://www.maingaming.co.za/marvel-vs-capcom.html
Registrations will also take place on the morning of the tournament from 9am-11am.
Any questions about the tournament can be asked here and we will try to answer everything we can.
A quick breakdown of the tournament:
DATE: 2nd October
VENUE : Clearwater Mall ? Centre Piazza Court
REGISTRATIONS : 9am - 11am
We would love to be able to start the actual tournament at around 11:30am so please try to come on time. The earlier we start the earlier we can end and maybe get some casual matches going.
A couple things I would like to make clear first.
The game will be patched
The game will have the 4 unlocked characters namely Akuma. Hsien-Ko, Sentinel and Taskmaster
The game will not have any of the DLC characters. Apologies to any Shuma or Jill players. Hopefully this is enough warning for players to get to their backup characters for any Shuma or Jill mains.
Tournament will be run as a best out of 3 double elimination.
Prizes and Entry fee will be announced soon
So please come out to support even if it is just to watch. It looks great for sponsors and gets the community together.
