View Full Version : CoD4 Party - The Aftermath
08-11-2007, 10:30 PM
Okay so today was the CoD4 launch party. Good times, good times. They had 8 xboxes playing the game all on nice plasmas, music, free food n drink, all the party stuff. Watched the game, single- and multiplayer play (They had 4 networked), but didn't actually get to play it. No it wasn't because the boxes were hogged, would of been nice to see at least 2 more in the network though, but because of paintball! Most of us spent the whole day shooting each other, I pwned a few people, got pwned by a lot of people, but it was just so fun.
The only negatives: No free copy of the game. I would of killed for one, no wait would of ran around the course naked letting everybody get 10 free shots for a copy.

I wanted to shoot Miktar buuuuut the fact that he was on a december NAG deadline didn't give him the time too 'muk in'with the rest of us.
(The December NAG is being printed today)
I have to say the whole thing was very well orgonised. They speaches were minimal, the food was pleeeeeentyful and the location and paintball just added to the whole feeling to produce great exposure for the game.

Twas a fun event - Thank you to Candice and Devon of Megarom for their support. Devon seemed to especially be having a lot of fun.
I'm kinda sad that I didn't get to play Paintball, but with my strained ankle muscle (Yes, stupid me was overenthusiastic at Monday's karate class) I would have not been a lot of help for my team :D
I did enjoy having a good chat with Priest, Miktar and Aequitas about various gaming issues. It was also worth it to see FrozenFireside getting ambushed and shot at point blank range >_<
