RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 16, 2007

US, August 2, 2007 - Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and Crytek, award-winning developers of Far Cry, today announced that Crysis, will be hitting retail stores in North America and Europe on November 16, 2007 exclusively for the PC. A technical achievement featuring stunning DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 visuals, cunning gameplay, and an epic story, Crysis is recognized as one of the most anticipated PC games and first person shooters of 2007, recently winning Best PC game from the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2007.

"Crytek is constantly striving to push the boundaries of both game design and technology, while maintaining quality at the highest bar," said Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek. "We're thankful to our fans for their support and patience, and we're excited to bring them Crysis this year. It's going to be worth the wait."

Offering true, open-ended gameplay, Crysis gives gamers an unparalleled amount of freedom that fosters completely unique gaming experiences. Players are outfitted with a revolutionary Nanosuit and an arsenal of fully customizable weapons, giving them a wide array of options not only in approaching the entire game, but every single objective or individual encounter. And they will need every advantage they can get going head to head against a menacing and highly intelligent alien threat amid dynamic, hostile battlefields that range from lush, tropical jungles, flash-frozen landscapes and a horrifying zero gravity environment.

Crysis also breaks new ground in multiplayer with the introduction of PowerStruggle - a unique team-based strategic mode for up to 32 players, where opposing sides battle for control of advanced weaponry and vehicles to overcome their enemies. For those who prefer the pulse-pounding action of deathmatch, Crysis will also feature an Instant Action mode, with the highly adaptive Nanosuit serving as the ultimate tool to outwit your opponents.

Crysis has not yet been rated by the ESRB or PEGI. Visit www.esrb.org or www.pegionline.eu for updated rating information. For more information about the game, log onto http://info.ea.com or the game's official website at www.nanosuit.com.

I...like...ham...so...much...need...feta...too.... .why...are....we....talking.....like....this...... ...?

Seriously, I like Crysis, but I won't have a machine that's even NEAR to being able to run it for at least 23.56 years. And by that time, better things will have come and gone.

PS Squirly, I've hit my screen about 7 times expecting squishy squishy, but no, the insect lives on.

I'm thinking of changing it. You know, add a frame where it pops like a zit.

I won't even be able to play Crysis. But I still look at it and go: "..."

Seriously, I'm dumb-struck - and it's not the graphics. It's what they're trying to do here - the weapons you can mod on the fly, the suit, the environment. Bioshock, Mass Effect, Crysis.... holy **** people we're in for some good times.

I hate the waittttttttt.....!!! It is slowly killing me . but at the same time I'm glad since the wait will give me enought time to get enougth money to buy a Asus X2600XT 256mb GDDR4.

I've been waiting from march last year for this game. I need it now and need it fast.

I'm probably going to get a 9800GTS for Crysis, if they get released on time, and are under R6000, then I'll be sweet. . .

You guys seem very lucky and also seem to have a lot of money to buy all this equipment.

The 9800GTS is going to retail for +- $500. So if you buy from newegg you should be able to get one for just under 4000. I just wanna SLi 'cause it'll fill out my case nicely.

You see I'm a ATI fan and will always buy a ATI it's not that I have grudge or anything bad against Nivida. I always look at both but will in the end buy an ATI card.

Well, if the head dude over at Crytek can run the game nicely on full settings with a 7800GT and a 3500+ DC AMD then you should be able to run on medium settings?

Yea, but I have a bottleneck concerning my CPU. I tried overclocking it, but its not easy overclockable.

That's great, but you may want to recheck those prices. Quite a fair bit over the going rate these days.

Oh, and you may also want to stop advertising on this site. Go to systemshock.co.za and do it properly if that's your thing.

I'm hopping to get the E6420 Core2 2.13Ghz or E6600 Core2 2.4Ghz buy the time Crysis gets released or maybe a bit after :( I can only hope...

ReinHer

I think any C2D will do as the L2 cache size dosnt make a huge difference in games and you can overclock each and every one to get a 500mhz boost even on stock cooling.
