Hey how about some ATI drivers that work, each time ive tried to instal the drivers from any cover dvd something goes wrong. My video card is an X1600 pro ?

edit: The 7.6 drivers install here but windows wont boot after restarting PC. Have to use "Last known good configuration" to restore older drivers. Sigh.

The 7.7 Catalysts are on the Sep DVD - tell me if those give the problem too.

Btw, listing what OS you're running really helps. Vista, I know, has problems with the new Catalysts. Nothing I can do about that.

lol soz I assumed you'd think I was running XP as it would be rather daft of me to blame the actual drivers if I were running Windows Millen- um, Vista.

Will report back on those driiivars.

oh and soz again when is the cut off date for the months DVD? Already done? I really need those c&c drivers :P and I believe stranglehold demo is coming out soon too.

Oi! 'twas but a mere hint of jest towards MicroSoft, no need to get all chokey about it! I believe in the magic of vista too, it's just sooo irresistable to poke fun at the pre-servicepack release (which is actually quite impressive, perhaps)

I realise this isn't a discussion thread, just a shout out to the dude with the x1600, I have tyeh same prob, check ATI site and see if your manufacturer is supported, I got a notebook with X1600 but ATI drivers dont install, I supposedly have to get my updated drivers from manufacturer. THANKS ACER, I'M STILL USING CCC VERS. 6.8!!!!

Thought this would be the place to plug my mod for Far Cry (patched to 1.33 or higher) and perhaps get it onto the DVD, its called The Maze. A simple single player mod (one map) at approximately 24MB download.

Cheats:

-Fixes for various cheats have been put into place. Please be advised that players attempting to tamper with the game may cause online matches to automatically desync.

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow GDI projectile shells to track targets properly.
-Fixed a bug that caused the Scrin Drone Platform to self-destruct when coming in contact with an enemy upgraded Scrin
Annihilator Tripod.
-Fixed a bug with decoyed GDI Mammoth Tanks created by the Nod Decoy Army support power that allowed them to crush enemy units.
-Fixed a bug where support powers, Scrin Tiberium Vibration Scan and Nod Radar Jamming Missile, deducted twice the amount of
credits indicated.
-Fixed errors that caused some players to experience unexpected problems due to copy protection.

Balance Changes:

-Scrin Mothership will now take 8 seconds to deploy over the Scrin Signal Transmitter, where it will be unselectable by user but can be attacked by opponent. Scrin Mothership speed has been increased by 33%. Weapon chain reaction delay increased by 1 sec.
-GDI Pitbull health reduced by 20%. Mortar given a scatter radius of 50. Mortar upgrade cost increased to 2000 from 1000.
-Scrin Buzzer Hive now leaves 1 Scrin Buzzer instead of 3 when destroyed or sold.
-Cranes for all 3 factions can no longer build defensive structures or superweapons.
-Harvesters' rate of collecting Tiberium has been made equal across all factions. Harvesters will now unload at the refinery before moving to a new Tiberium field.

I haven't been buying NAG forever, so I hope I haven't missed it, but Bizarre Creations posted a trailer for their upcoming game The Club quite a while ago.
Apparantly it's all the in game stuff but not being rendered with the actual engine or something like that.
Now, if it hasn't already made it's way onto a NAG DVD (in which case I could shuffle through my buddy's collection), I'd be quite happy if it or some other footage of The Club could do so this month, or next month, or someday before I die :P
