I take a loaf of crusty french bread, cut about a third of it off, cut it in half, and pop it in the toaster oven for a couple minutes to make it crunchy. Then I spread some caesar dressing on one half of the sandwich. On the other half, I pile deli smoked turkey, some sort of cheese (right now I'm using colby jack, but I also like monterey jack, havarti, or other white cheeses), romaine lettuce (has to be romaine; it's shape and crunchyness lend itself well to sandwich building), tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion, green bell pepper, and if I have them, black olives.

Not my idea of the ultimate sammich - I prefer more meat, less rabbit food. What's your ultimate sammich?

I like to keep it simple: Ham, cheddar cheese, and cucumber - on white.

mayo is probably my favourite condiment. It just sneaks past tomato and that mellow and mild creamy mustard in the purple bottle.

First use that thick brown toaster bread. Put on a mixture of chocolate spread, cheese spread, peanut butter and syrup. Then put a layer of salami over that. Then goes on a layer of cheese. Grill for a short while so the cheese melts and enjoy!

Urgh, peanut butter :( I feel sick thinking about anything with peanut butter

I have 3 favourites:

- Roast beef, tomato, pickadilli (I know I can't spell) on any form of bread
- Mozzarella cheese, cucumber, basil pesto and tomatoes on panani
- Roast chicken, avocado and mozzerella cheese just because :D

Okay, start with a piece of bread (NO! REALLY? TELL ME MORE.) Instead of butter, rather use mayonnaise, then some chicken strips (Tikka chicken works very well, but normal chicken is just as good), on top of that some lettuce, then some tomato. Then you put another piece of bread, 'buttered' with sweet chilli sauce, and some more chicken on top of that, then a slice of cheese, and more lettuce as an optional and some pineapple, with a final piece of bread on top.

You can also switch the sauces around to suit yourself.

*slurp* delicious and HUGE. I also find that putting some avocado in there somewhere makes it oh-so-much-more tasty. Love it.

1) Lots of cheese (Gouda and or cheddar) and marmite on bread of course
2) And a cheesy hotdog, with everything on, also on bread.

The ultimate sandwich, from the bottom up:

Hummus, cucumber, peppadew, lettuce, avocado, sliced black olives, tomato slices, red onion rings, green pepper; topped with mild white cheddar and served on a crunchy wholewheat roll.

Perfect!

Hmmm...Cheesybun + dogmeat, catjuice and baby fat!
Man! That's one hell of a sammy
Also, Motzarella with galumi, gammon, pickles on cheesy roll...*slobber slobber*
The baby fat tastes good on it too.

Oooh, all of these sound devine! Yummy. I don't have a particular favourite but I remember a girl in primary school made this sandwhich:

White bread with Chocolate spread (instead of butter), topped with smarties, jelly babies and other assorted sweets....

...Not exactly what i would like :P

Slightly toasted bread (So that its still soft), tomato sauce spread accross it, cheese and pasta spice. (No top slice of bread - Which means its not really a sandwich...) Put it in the microwave for 25 secs and you have a mini pizza! I'm eating one right now. ^.^

Slightly toasted bread (So that its still soft),

No offense to you Scorp1on, but I hate toast like that. When someone makes me "toast" like that I say to them "I wanted toast, not warm bread".

But anyway each to his own. :)
