Old kick ass games

theres been so much talk about new and unreleased games. I thought that it was time to look back at our favorite old games and think about why they are so much fun even now.
so people make a list of all of your favorite games and post em here.
my favorite oldies are:

-The setlers
-Croc 1/2
-the monkey island titles (the best adventure games eva)

Legend of Kyrandia series by Westwood. Awesome adventure games, fun to play and interesting story lines.

I hated the third Kyrandia game.

Sierra's Space Quest and Quest for Glory series, as well as LucasArts classics like DOTT and the Monkey Island series are some of my all-time favourite games. I still replay them frequently.

Fallout goes without saying. It's pretty much synonymous with "old kick ass games", isn't it?

Another few, to leave the obvious classic adventure genre for a moment:

-Jagged Alliance 2. Blood-pumping, brow-sweating, heat-packing, semi turn-based tactical strategy, few games of this genre come close to the coolness that is JA2.
-X-Com. Specifically Terror From The Deep, but UFO and Apocalypse are good fun too.
-Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. This game has a special place in my heart. Just such a damn awesome piece of game, and Simon Templeman's voice oooozes super-cool.
-Tribes (1). Nothing beats the feeling of jetting over your opponent's head, dropping a few discs to keep him distracted, snatching that flag, and skiing downhill to safety. Cross-country sniping also had its moments.

THPS2 [PC] (if you can manage to get it running!), Red Alert 2, Outcast (didn't complete it and the one disk got fudged), NOLF2, Blood 2: The Chosen (classic FPS and great fun in MP), Super Gem Fighter: Mini Mix (not that I have it for MAME or anything ;)). Um, yeah, that's all I can think of right now. Oh, and Black Throne. Ah, how could I forget, The Neverhood, kick-ass game! I especially liked the multiple endings.

I'm busy playing Ninja Gaiden on the Wii, the NES version, it brings back some real memories and should be played by anyone that has a Wii.

there was so much talk about Fallout , a game I had honestly never herd of , I'm sorry. So i went to my trusty friend Google ( man hes the best! ) and WOWY the game looked cool , you know like on of those games that seem so awesome and are so much fun , but still "no Danyel you cant play it , look violent it looks , there's so much blood!" im luck I could convince her to let me buy Assassins creed when it comes out, "but mom its a strategic game to".

First ever RPG I played, Beyond Oasis (or Story of Thor), on the SEGA Genesis. Also, the Kings Quest and Police Quest Games (Never played Space Quest before ;_; )
