When I was in school, I used to think life would only get easier. After graduation, I realized life was much easier in school. Now, over 10 years since matriculation, I'm finding life to be about equal, slightly easier, than when I was in school.
Outlook, circumstance, salary, academic history all play a part, I realize - but do you feel your life more or less stressful after graduating?

MUCH more after graduating, ok, but much more rewarding too.
I'm currently a student, and life is a lot less stressful.

More stressful. I was "forced" to grow up.
definatly more stressfull now, at school the only stress we had was trying to find a place to have a quick smoke away from the prefects :) and as long i one passed it was ok no biggie . Left matric in 1978 and i am sure todays scholars have much more stress than we had .

My life became more stressful, exponentially after graduation. Financial issues (study loan, car payments, rent, insurance), job responsibilities, masters degree that has to be finished by the end of this year.

Well in school I kind of had a do or die mentality. So I didn't care much. So definitaly after school.

Meh, school was funtimes. Didn't study much, stil lgot decent grades. 'Tech was more work, but also not really stressful, only a couple subjects i didn't 'get'. Otherwise spent most of my tertiary education cutting classes to go hang around malls or play games and get ****faced at night. Good times. Then I got my first real job, and 'real life' hit me like a ton of bricks. Bricks made of angry hornets and pain.

More stressfull, MUCH more.
;_;
honestly though, I wish I enjoyed my Schooling days even /more/ now.
Even with the year off I'm so much more stressed then when I was in school, and I can only imagine what it's like after you'r done with Uni.

Well since I'm a student I can't really say, since I can't say that I have experienced both. However I do go to school and I work on weekends. After working weekends + public holidays for almost two years you realize that real life is not so pretty. In a way I think I'm prepared ;)

Primary school was the most stress-full. High school was awesome and Varsity is awesome. High school really changed my mind set and I realised then that life is only has good as you make it out to be.
Looking back at high school I`m really glad that I did some of the things I did, things that were: Stupid, Immature, childish, Humilitating but hey there me and my friends memories now. its just too bad I can`t say the same for primary school

I've found final year of uni to be the most stressful. It was mostly self study and being part of a team on a year long project. The main problem was dealing with people who somehow reached final year and still couldn't code.

Highschool was the most stressful time of my life.
There's a lot to be said for figuring out who and what you are early: Gives you time to enjoy being you properly :)

School was ****~I hated the pressure they put on me/us/the school.
Work is another kettle of fish and since the problems are a little more complex-I see it as equal to school.
Look I think I had a **** grade head-she couldnt see the wood from the trees if you know what I mean.

I don't think stress itself has ever really changed in my life. Sure, the sources of stress have changed, as well as how I deal with them, but the final amount of stress (let's assume the ratio of source of stress vs how you deal with it is measurable) have pretty much stayed the same. I'm fairly sure it's the same for most people. Your life will always seem stressful, but the more sources of stress you receive, the more equipped you'll become to deal with them (up to a certain point, obviously).

my life at the moment is stressful becuase im doing a music course im in grade 11 and just to top it off I have to learn three songs if I wanna join a friends band. Ok so the last bit sounds fun but in actual fact its a huge task to learn those songs.

I would have to say that after school is the most stressful for me. Basically putting my studies on top of work adds to the stress.

I was most stressed out/depressed during my final exams in Grade12 after that my two years of studying went by fast and easy it was one of the best times of my life. I have only been working solidly for about 6 months now but it is going really well, I enjoy the job.

Funny story. When I was still in high school, I had a friend who continually told me that at the rate I was going, I would have a heart attack before I hit 21. She was wrong.
Today at work, one of my colleagues told me that at the rate I was going, I would have a heart attack before I hit 30.
I think my point is abundantly clear. Good evening to you all. :)

That your friends aren't doctors?
So far varsity is not as stressful as school. I know what my limits are (thanks to school), and I know how to pace myself for varsity. Having done plenty of work experience at law firms, I know that the real world out there is really stressful. So much so, that I doubt I will be entering the profession after I graduate. emigration here I come!

As a varsity student my life is a lot more stressful, due to the sheer amount of work I need to hand in at certain intervals.
High-School might not have contained the happiest years of my life, but it definitely was not stressful. Nobody ever put pressure on me, nor did I put pressure on myself 'cause everyone knew I was going to pass in any case.
Working life... well working in a video store is about as stressful as sleeping.

As a grown up in retail management I need to eat stress for breakfast. Actually it has recently got a bit easier since I took a slightly less 'prestigious' job with a bit less responsibility.
But school was a breeze, I managed to coast through most of it and have decent marks, and avoid sport which was critically important at the time.

School, without a doubt. Varsity is a ****load of work but the sheer pressure form my parents at school made me go bad for some reason. No pressure at varsity and I'm doing 3 times better with 200000 times the work. strange.

I find that my stress levels haven't reduced or increased after leaving high school, just the sources have changed. First year study load is about the same as matric, though slightly more stimulating, so not much change there. Having to make the "big choices" in life now are what bring me stress, rather than the other issues I faced during high school...
