Hello
Please advise me on which LCD monitor to choose, for I can't choose myself :/
They are both equally good spec wise.

It's between the

Samsung 931BW
19" Widescreen
Static 700:1 (Dynamic 2000:1)
2ms
http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=computersperipherals&type=monitors&subtype=lcd&model_cd=LS19MEWSF/XAA

&

Dell E207WFP
20" Widescreen
Static 800:1
5ms
http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/dell-e207wfp/4505-3174_7-32135018.html

I played on a CRT for most of my gaming life, so I hope the change doesn't affect my competitive play...
Just a random fact: I noticed that complexity played on the E207WFP at the CGS tournaments - and they didn't have any complaints. So I'm guessing 5ms response isn't at all bad for First Person Shooters like CS?

Please let me know which one you would choose
I mainly play FPS, and would like a smooth game

I was worried about a higher response time so I got a 2ms 17" instead of a 6ms 19". Later I heard that it doesn't really make a difference if its 8ms or below.

Just get the Samsung. 1" in size difference will hurt you alot less than the 3ms difference. Plus the samsung has a nice pricetag.

How about the famous ACER 19"LCD, AL1951cs Gamers Line LCD, Crystalbrite screen technology, DVI, 2 ms response time (http://www.take2.co.za/product.php?id=2523426)

I have the 4ms version and recently got the 2ms version for my brother. Absolutely great monitors.

I'd also say get the AL1951 since I like mine. However the 4ms AL1951 > 2ms AL1951. The 2ms panel is 33% dimmer and it's unlikely you'll be running many games over 250fps where 4ms reaches its limit.

If you want something slightly larger:
SAMSUNG 22" Wide TFT LCD, 1680X1050, 2ms Response time (http://www.take2.co.za/product.php?id=2683761)

I have been using my LG 204WT for about two months now and I must say I am really impressed with this LCD. Looks great on my p.c. and the 360.
