I was just wandering if anyone on the forums happens to have MXit? I'm interested to see how popluar it actually really is..

And I'm sorry but all those mothers and hooker and booze loving Politicians who somehow think that if a child has, well basically a chat program on their phone, they are going to be raped by some multiple fellon....are just, well....stupid.

I have it but never use it. Find it better to use SMS's because I suffer from memory problems and mxit does not save conversations afaik.

The idea behind Mxit is brilliant. Considering our economy and how poorly paid the citizens of this country are, I fully support the idea. The fact that it became abused is not surprising because like all good things, there is always somebody who will abuse it. I ignore those sort of programmes when they talk about stuff like Mxit and violent computer games. It is just a stupid issue that keeps on getting beaten to death.

NZ's providers (Vodafone and Telecom, when merged become Vodacom. . . the plot thickens) are expensive. It costs 20c for a txt (that's what they call it here) from VF to VF, which converted to Rands is R1. And GPRS usage costs an arm and a leg, $10/MB, which is roughly R50/MB. Whereas Vodacom charges R2/MB and Virgin Mobile R0.50/MB. But it's ok, my internet on my phone is free for some reason. . . I fought vodafone and I won!

I've noticed lately that when its peak time, Mxit almost doesn't function. Apparently this is because the service providers are giving more bandwidth to the hdps/3g clients. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes, but it should be free. There are other (do I dare say better?) IM clients for phones out there that are free.

Sigh...Ive had mxit since October 2005...a month after it realeased, even though it's free, it's very troublesome. Especially when you start talking to depressed girls T.T. And it's only bakauro who get hurt by mxit, because they can't keep their numbers and details secret, and because they are hornly little bitches who like having phonesex, always looking for more.

well...mxit is perfectly fine if u dont be an ******* on it. Ive had mxit for about 2 years now with no problems, and you don't need to speak to depressed girls. Speak to chicks you know man don't be a lurker on chat rooms...

Other than that I rarely answer anyone who chats to me, mainly because Ican't game and talk at the same time. (Not a female)
I did go on a chat room once and pretended to be a female though...I never want to go there again...you sure can find the most sex-starved li'l boys on those rooms...proving once again the low morales of our country's youth... which excludes me. *sadsadsad on both parts*

I have it, but rarely use it. It's cheaper than SMS'ing, so I check if the person I need to talk to is on MXit before sending an SMS.
