LOVE IT. But the first 10 episodes were kinda boring. No storyline. But then after the man and this lil brown eyed girl appear - the story starts to shape.

00 is the best Gundam IMO.

TTGL is awesome... it's a mix of everything Anime and Epic. There is a Film out, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann The Movie - Guren-hen, but it's basicaly a recap of the first 1/2 of the series.

I just finished Lucky Star. Wow. It can cause headaches when trying to understand some of the humour in it. I found it quite funny how they 'advertised' The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (It was a past project that the creators made, apparently), and I bit of Full Metal Panic.*

I watched took a gamble and watched the Clannad Movie... ;_; I'm starting to regret it.

I'm gonna watch Cowboy Bebop for the rest of the morning, (before my PC gets taken away next week >_>).

In other news I watched DBK 15 last night and it reminded me why I fell in love with DBZ waaaay back when I started watching it on Tube on SABC 2 (yeah that was long ago). Lol I used to skip work just to watch it!

Moving on though I just started watching Lucky Star. It's one of those anime that I thought I wouldn't be watching after the 1st episode but boy was I wrong. For some reason I'm enjoying it so far. Wierd.

Also on another note I got Bleach 229, gonna watch it tonight seeing as I need a distraction from beforementioned anime.

Considering the attention to detail the story has and the awsome battles it doesn't really surpriese me. But I feel ashamed about the fact that I have never watched an episode of One Piece and it's number 1 on the chart.

408eps so far, 9 movies and 4 tv specials.

There is even a special chapter manga called: Cross epoch. A DBZ and one piece crossover.

Just checked:one piece out of 410... there are 75 fillers. Most of them is actually pretty good :) .Especailly the ace vs scorpion ep! that was so funny!!!

Incognito tenjo tenge is a rather useless anime but a fairly decent manga (well as far as I read anyway).

Watched Baccuno! this weekend, It was good but I liked Gungrave better (because of it's mafia themed storyline not the over the top Necro-rise battles).

Also got Ah! My Goddess too. Will watch it when I have the time but I hear from a bunch of friends it's just "meh". Is this true? Should I even waste my time on it then?

I finished watching Afro Samurai, yesterday. I really enjoyed it. The fighting was incredible and the voice acting was spot on (go, go Jackson and Perlman). I thought some of the hip-hop music worked pretty well, too. Especially in the intro. Sure, the show does place style over substance, but it still rocks. I hope they continue with the series.

The beginning is great, the middle is good, and the ending is "meh". Your call, I guess. I know that there is a second season, if you do like it.

start of the new filler arc. I must say though, it was actually really good.
A really kickass idea, the animation was really nice. If they can keep it up this might actually be good. :)

I really didn't like Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I feel it's extremely overrated.
Then again, maby if she had a bankai I would have liked it. lol

Watched Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya until episode 8 last night. I must say once you warm up to the characters it's actually an enjoyable watch. But phreak is right it is a little bit overrated.

I noticed that as well. But I stopped watching Animax in February I think. Nothing decent to watch and ALL the anime engdubs are terrible. Sounds like they are voiced by the same 10 people.

You have me there Bonezmann, 10 points to you. Yeah there are the obvious english dub exceptions (IMO DBZ, Trigun, Gantz etc) that just sometimes sound better in english.

I also watched the second Naruto Shippuudden movie last night and man it was good! Not as good as the first one though but still decent.

I just finished watching Karas, What a good anime the 3D works well even tho its quite old, Its excellent and a much watch to Everyone, the story is excellent even tho quite confusing in the bigging and the fight scenes are imaginative.

Busy watching Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When the Seagulls Cry). No, it's not a sequel/prequel to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It's a new series, new story, new characters, new setting. But it's also made by 7th Expansion.
I just watched episode 3. It's incredible. I finally found a good mystery anim? that I've been searching for and it, too, is a no Naku Koro ni. It seems they never fail me.
It, too, is addictive. It, too, has characters that don't seem trustworthy. It, too, is looking frikken sweet so far.

I will not explain the plot, because, just like in Higurashi, any word you say is already a spoiler.
Heck, I might even change my avatar soon. O_O
I'm struggling to find all the (working) episodes online. *Goes off to find the elusive episode 4*

Edit: Episode 5 just changed EVERYTHING! I frikken love mysteries!

Other than that, I finally finished Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage. Not as good as the first one. (first 2 episodes are an exception. They are pure holy awesomeness!)
And I'm at episode 7 or 8 of Zombie Loan. Not brilliant, but not bad. 6/10 or so from me... so far.

Ooh, I started watching Romeo x Juliet, and It's brilliant. I love Romeo & Juliet and seeing it done in a medium I love is great. The artistic license the creator took makes the story fit a anime much better but still keeps the basic motifs from the play.

Another anime with a good artistic style is Valkyria Chronicles. It looks all water painted which looks sweet

For those of you who read and keep up with the Berserk manga... here's a treat for you:

For those of you who have not read the manga (and this includes those who only watched the anime), this is rather big. Berserk is something akin to the Lord of the Rings novels for the Japanese, due to it's content and epic scale (not to mention its huge fanbase).

This production looks like it's high quality, and even though I'm normally one to scoff at anime adaptations of manga, I'm extremely excited about this.

If this is authentic (and apparently this site is reliable), and the quality suggested in those screens is retained through the series... then this stands the chance of being one of the more epic anime series ever.

This is damn awesome news, those screens look really high quality.

And by the looks of those few images it seems that they're staying with the Berserk manga mainstay of over the top violence and gore, which is good. As long as they keep the intensity of the show intact and not change it into some PG13 anime adaptation this will surely be an amazing anime!

Actually, I doubt that. The original anime left out so much, that part of the reason it ended where it did was because it couldn't continue due to elements not included prior.

The original anime series didn't have the skill knight, specifically, whom played a large role in the events the anime otherwise covered.

Considering how much the original anime left out, it's best that the new season were to start from scratch.

That said, continuing from where the original anime finished isn't impossible, but it would be extremely disjointed.

Mmm that's true, I forgot that the Skull Knight featured only in the manga. I watched it so long ago.

The reason I thought it looked like they were continuing on the manga storyline is because of the first picture where it looks like Griffith has already transformed into the fifth God hand. And for some reason that pictue of Caska looks to me like she's already lost her mind, she doesn't have that determined look she had prior to being "violated" into insanity. Plus there is a picture of Puck, who is only introduced after the events of the Golden Age arc.

I agree about the Zodd pic though.

But I guess time will tell, either way I'm really excited about this. :D

I love how Umineko is almost opposite from Higurashi.
In Higurashi, it's a normal world with weird things happening, yet almost everything can be explained without magic.
Umineko, however has things that seem obviously done via magic, but now it must be discovered/explained how the things could be done in normal ways. At least, that's what I think (for now) what Umineko is like. (I only saw up to episode 5)

While we are on the topic of fillers, I just can't watch Naruto ep101(OLD naruto, the one where he was still a child) filler episode. It's the funniest episode of Naruto(and Shipuuden ftm) I have ever seen! I have it in both subbed and dubbed, and if I haven't listened to "maybe he has lips like a blimp" at least once a day, my day hasn't finished... XD

Just saw the new naruto ep, some nice action. Animation was a little shoddy in a few places. but overall a good ep.

To be honest I miss the old team 7 days or naruto, Sakura, sauske and kakashi.

Gungrave was amazing. But they should have kept it with the brilliant mafia story. The necro-rising thing" didnt fit into it all that well. So I agree with you.


About naruto, there is one EPIC fight we are all waiting for to be animated, pain versus Sage mode naruto In my opinion, the coolest fight in the entire series.
It better get a massive budget.

Now, I've been thinking about the Bleach filler arc. I have a 'theory': (may contain spoiler if you haven't seen the latest bleach ep)

maybe the swords are under some kind of spell? I know the main baddy is a sword too, but maybe he has a power similar to Aizen's sword?(illusion).

Also the main baddy looks a lot like the research captain(the nails!), but I doubt he is the research captain's sword since the bankai release spat that poison cloud when they first encountered the shinigami.

Now, moving on to the 'swords are under a spell' theory. Remember in the last episode he drove Zangetsu out of Ichigo? Maybe the stuff he said was a subtle spell he puts them under?

Another thing, now that I think about it, remember when the shinigami first encountered their swords? Zabimaru attacked in Bankai form, does this mean they can unleash their Bankai forms too? or even morph/change into their Bankai forms? How will Zangetsu's physical Bankai look like?

Have you tried Mushi-Shi or Monster as a good mystery manga, or Detective Conan AKA Case Closed for a "shonen" feel.

What I think what happend [FSN] He gave Saber her only wish wich was to fix everything she had done wrong as King Arthur. Shirō wanted her to stay as he loved her but he knew that she would never be as happy with him so he let her go...

I found it funny at times (mostly the action scenes). I loved watching how he individually helped the students in his own way. He is very "clever". ;)

I just read that the manga has a different ending, it has 2 manga prequels and there is a "new" sequel manga too. Might be worth checking out. :)

Wow... Reminds me when I did something like that with History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. I didn't count, though. I think my exam marks was proof of this. XD

I watched Paprika, 'cause NAG said so. Ending reminded me of Paranoia Agent. Was a good movie. It once again proved to me that Anim? should be watched in HQ. It's just THAT much more wow, (other example is Gundam 00).

I finished Bakuretsu Tenshi (aka Burst Angel). I seriously didn't expect such a sad ending. Yet, I'm glad it was. Wikipedia says that a OVA (Bust Angel Infinity) hints at another season. I'm not sure how different the manga is. Anyone know something?

I'm going to start with Shakugan no Shana tomorrow, (exams end, yay). Gonna alternate between Shakugan no Shana and Cowboy Bebop (it still hasn't hooked me, strangely enough).

I just watched the last episode of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann... When the first intro song began. I got embarrassingly emotional and I cried a few drops. I'm not sure why though. Is it because it's just so epic!?

Latest Naruto chapter was actually pretty good and it seems Naruto is entering part 3 as Madara has declared war and basically spoiled the entire evil plot, explaining about the eyes, his palns, why he needs the Tailed Demons, etc.

Hey bubble gum crisis, Used to watch this on sci-fi channel when it was on, this as well as dragonball z and the first Ghost in the shell movie got me intrested in anime.

I also got into anime after DBZ and Ghost in the Shell's first movie. After that it was Neon Genesis Evangelion and the rest is history as they say.

My favorite will definitely be Naruto. Naruto is a great blend of mature and teenage content that will make you laugh and cry. Then of course there is Bleach with Itchigo as the bad-ass hero. And don't forget Golden Boy. That's just a brilliant show. Then there is Eureka, Solty Rei and Magister Negi Negima. Also very good anime.

Solty Rei was good but the ending felt like they just ended it that way because they thought the fans might hate them.

Eureka was kinda cool but I hate the main character, Renton. There's something about that kid that some people might consider to be the very last thread on a very thin rope. And the English version of him didn't help much either.

Magister Negi Negima was kinda fun to watch but it got kinda boring after about ep13 and I just stopped watching it altogether.

I used to watch DBZ and Pokemon while I was still in school, then one day when I was at work I saw someone mention Bleach on the forums, I googled it and behold! The first link was a whole site where I could download it. I got Naruto from a friend, at first I didn't like it but after I restarted watching it from the beginning a second time I fell in love with it. It's now my favourite anime. So my Anime adventure began. \o/

I just watched Tenjou Tenge Episode 1, I saw an episode or two on animax before and it caught my attention. I like it, it's nice.

I happened to come across the last few episodes of Soltei Rei on Animax, at around the same time I saw Tenjou Tenge, and unfortunately I know how it ends so there's no real reason for me to watch it again.

My Interests in Anime started when I was about 13. I started watching Dirty pair flash on Sci-fi and DBZ. Pokemon on SABC 2 after that I made it my mission to watch all the anime I could find..

Must say the real break through came when I started watching the Classics like Ghost in the Shell, NGE, Elfen Lied.

It happened with me too, I also gave up before the chuunin exams, I gave up on ep 7. Tie him to a chair and MAKE him watch it. :p

Just saw the new Bleach Episode, it was by far the most exciting episode so far. My toes were curling with excitement! Especially the fight between Renji and Byakuya and Zabimaru and Senbonzakura I haven't enjoyed Bleach this much since Episode 15!
