I think that the best thing about Xfire is that you can open your games from in the program. Its pretty useful. And there is such a wide variety of games that are supported. Xfire is AWESOME.
yes I agree.... and its also cool when half of your friends are on it and can join there server anytime when they play.... just one question shellshock... why were you 78 days ago online?

I haven't been playing games much lately. And to be honest, I completely forgot about Xfire until I saw this thread.:P
its ok... some people when they only have 3 or 4 friends never actually get into it... but when close friends have it... or people from your forum is on your friendslist... then it can be fun.
If anyone wants to add me... It's awsomemic

i had it removed it use TS for clannies and the like. But if you use Local gaming servers you are not allowed to use Xfire or TS on the open servers its against the ROE in BF2 anyway so we can;t really use it at lease BF2 has built in VIOP.
they really should consider including this in most Multi-player games !

Don't have xfire but *slightly off topic* I noticed you had a mxit icon on ur task bar. Is that a downloadable interface for cell phone and pc mxit users?

Yes, I think he's using MPowerplayer for mxit.
Though I heard there's another web interface somewhere, I haven't bothered to look.

I know gtalk has the ability to interface with mxit. I was just wondering whether Awesomiac's one is a dedicated one as I've heard nothing about it before.

I lost interest in Xfire-The only person I actually wanted to speak to was Reinher who I used to be in a Clan with.
I use MSN live to chat now.
I hated the politics that my clan was going through and all I got was "dude your such a traitor for going with X: come to my clan!"
It sucked.

Chuluka is the nick but I don't use it much, I use steam more coz of TF2 so if you're looking for me then send an invite there.
Xfire lost it's use after I started really using Steam. But that's just me.

Nah its similar to Steam and caters for more games (I think) but has less user-friendly features and UI than Steam imo. You can see what your friends are up to, as with Steam, and a big plus is that you can monitor servers for more games than Steam can...

Less user friendly? like in what way?
And you can download skinz or create one if you like. but the new one looks very neat in my opinion.

It fits nicely with the new Winamp bento skins.

Steam just has a certain slickness to it. Groups can easily be created, profile pages can be loaded within the program rather than opening up a seperate browser etc...

Simply, Steam is more professional where xfire is more functional. They're both useful, but when I actually used xfire, it was only for the server browser so that I could see which Savage games were going without having to launch the game to check. That, plus one-click joining of said server, is the most handy feature, imo.

I decided to give Xfire a try. Seems okay so far, covering the games that steam does not. If any want to send invite I use Isengard125 :).
