Question: Which platform do you play on most often? Why?

I used to play all my games on the p.c but I moved over to the console market just becuase it is more financially viable, what I mean by that is the obvious - no upgrading. The games are expensive yes but I don't need a R10 000+ rig to enjoy myself.

I play on my PC. All the other older console platforms have emulators so I play those games on the pc as well.

PC, but only because I'm playing Kotor, which takes alot of time compared to Overlord on my 360, which doesn't require that much time.

PC but soon Wii ! :)

PC because of the fact that you can get emulators for the platforms that are no longer around. Mouse and Keyboard just seem a lot easier to me than joysticks and buttons.

Pc but only because I already had a pc from a young age, and gaming on the console is to expensive for my tiny budget.

I play mostly on the PC, I used to own a Playstation though.
But we decided it'd be too expensive to maintain both console and PC gaming.

I play on my PC the most. It is mainly because of the PC's multifunctionality that I choose it also as a gaming "platform".

PC. I do a lot of varsity work on my PC, so I'm already spending a lot of time on it. Quickly and easily switching between work and play is a major plus when I'm spending long hours typing out an assignment.

Mostly PC. FPS imo can only be played on a pc (with a mouse), but that's not all, you can get mods for games (and mod games yourself) and mod the pc itself and you can overclock it.

PC.

Reason. World of Warcraft.

Just got Overlord which sould last me till Bioshock comes out. After Bioshock I'm going for Halo 3. Then comes the mass of November games(CoD4, Assassins Creed, Army o 2, Mercs2, probably a lot more). That should keep me busy until Mass Effect. I'll then move to Fable 2 and whatever else is out then. When thats all finished I'll take a long sleep.

Conclusion: My 360 rules my life..... Help!!!!!

I play ps3 coz i reasoned by the time the whole online part of the x- box is paid for and sorted it would cost the same amount as a ps3 whos online service is free

I play PC, cause the price of Xbox + console games + HD TV will not justify getting rid of my PC. I am much faster and effective with PC on RTS/FPS than consoles, plus PC is more versatile (upgrades, Office etc.). Problem with PC is staying ahead of tech with pricy upgrades.

Last reason for no console...small hands :)

I play exclusively on the PC because that's what I grew up with and I'm too stubborn to try a new platform.

Mainly PC because its got so many good games and you can use an emulator to play old console games. Nothing will ever beat the PC.

I play somewhat exclusively on my PC. I grew with up the PC, it's what I know best and I prefer playing on the PC (particularly FPS and RTS games). I also use it for a whole lot more than just gaming. Though, having said that, I think consoles can be great fun (especially with friends), but I just don't have the cash to maintain both a console and a PC at the same time...

PC - because I already have one, and because the console games are so bloody expensive I'd be able to afford 1 game a year!!
SEVEN HUNDRED BUCKS FOR ONE GAME????? I just picked up Company of Heroes for R79!
Hooray for PC.

Pc, because of the excellent online service (free dowloads and multiplayer) and because you dont get a NAG dvd for the xbox ;)

Xbox 360. Why? Because I work on my pc all day

T_Kill3r

I just meant that the NAG dvd is for pc, that is why i'm on my pc more. I wasn't implying that i want it for the xbox, that would just make the magazine more expensive

I kind of play on the PC. While working on my pc I sometimes take a "quick" break and play half an hour of Guily Gear or anything else that's easy to get into fast. Serious gaming is done on console but only on weekends and holidays. Overall I think I spend more time gaming on consoles because I generally prefer console RPGs and action games.

My pc.

Why?

That's easy. I can change from gaming, to watching movies, to browsing the internet, to gaming, to watching movies again, all without once leaving my comfy chair. :)

PC, cos th games are only R300 and my two most favriote genres: FPS and RTS is the most fun on a PC.(To me anyway).

PC, mainly because I have three and it is best suited for multiplayer as you don't need to share a screen and nobody has like three 360's or PS3's so that their friends can play on their own screens when they come over.

Gazza_N

PC, because I have one, and due to its versatility. That said, if I could afford an X360 and its games on top of that, I'd probably go dual-platform in a heartbeat.

PC, as all my favourite genres gets released on pc and also cause its so versatile. I enjoy building up pc's and find great satisfaction in upgrading my rig to meet todays demanding software. I had a ps2 and ds but sold it after 2 months cause it did not appeal to me. I'll probably never own a next gen console, but hey, what the heck, Im happy with that.

Mouse + keyboard=ownage and no frustration when playing a FPS. That and the level of customization you can achieve. Been gaming for the past 10 years. Love the PC.

PC. A console is an investment in gaming.
A PC is an investment in gaming that you can hide from your girlfriend by doing work.

PC's my first choice because most games that get me excited are released on PC at cheaper prices than their console counterparts. I prefer a mouse and keyboard in most games and enjoy running high resolutions. The simple fact is I can't afford Console gaming at it's best.

I think a lot of poeple think they spend more time on their pc's, because the do more than just game on them. If I had to focus only on gaming, it'll be 50-50 between my PC and Xbox 360. Let's face it, The Darkness and Lord of the Rings online are both very appealing, but you can't play them both on one machine.

360. Right now for me it has the most appealing games library, and this doesn't look like it's going to change for me any time soon (I don't play on PC at all so PC titles don't count for me). For Wii I hopefully have decent support to look forward to, but even then, it's really only Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy that I am looking forward to. I don't own a PS3 and at it's current price point I am not likely to for quite some time. My DS is in desperate need of local support, and is awaiting Zelda Phantom Hourglass. My PS2 only ever really gets dusted off for Guitar Hero. To be dead honest, the fact that I get Gamerscore for playing on my 360 has an added appeal to me as well. My own little score card as an incentive (it still won't make me complete crap games but it's a fun feature for me none the less).

PC, well i firstly prefer the mouse and keyboard factor, its also able to emulate older console games and i realy enjoy the more technical side of computers, and i basicly dont have enough money to upgrade my pc and buy a console with games, so pc is my first choice

PC all the way!!! I know a lot of people have said it is superior to console because of the keyboard and mouse and therefore better for FPS - well, i agree.

FPS, RTS and even RPG's are not suited very well for consoles, as much as they can try to simplify the controls and improve the gameplay for a controler it will never be the same.

I guess it is a matter of the genre of the game which you choose to play opposed to the platform you choose to use.

for example: ever try play tekken or mortal kombat with a keyboard? it just aint the same...

In recent months my Xbox 360, before that it was my PC. I play my Xbox 360 mainly, because of the fact that it has Live and the community is more welcoming in my opinion than the PC one.
