That video was just cool...
and here i thought it was gonna be a level based game like far-cry one.

Lets hope they meant it when they said its an open sandbox world where you can go anywhere you wish.

The 50 square KM thing is a bit worrying, hopefully they do not fall in the same pit as boiling point where you can go anywhere you wish, but the problem is... there is nothing out there but plants :/

Exactly what i was thinking , also didn't like the way missions where done in boiling point and this sounds very similar.Well i hope they played boiling point and know what needs to be done.

I'm sure Ubisoft will do a good job here. Sure boiling point was shoddy, but this looks great and we have no reason to doubt their abilities

Wow. Just wow. I'm feeling my inner graphics-geek freaking out like the first time I saw a crysis vid.

I do like what this game is looking like. I just can't help but wonder if the guns will be done realistically.

What's "realistically"?

Far Cry's guns weren't necessarily realistic. They were loud and had an awesome "feel" if you will. It's one reason why I'd stick with the deagle at times and then just switch over to the heavy machine gun and let rip.

Oh lordy lordy lordy. :)

R10 says Jackal is a mutant.

I mean realistic as in loud, with the correct kind of recoil for the gun in use. GRAW has a good template for gun realism, concerning the recoil at least.

That would kinda blow... im hoping for a straight forward human on human action.

But on another note...
a Perk would be if elephants, rhino and lions can kill you in the game.

But judging from those screen shots containing zebra, i doubt it. a Zebra wont let you get that close to it... i have spent a fare amount of time in the bush, and when on foot animals run from you much easier, as apposed to sitting in a vehicle.

Then again, if an animal has never seen a human it might not be so cautious of us... kinda like that field mouse that sat in squashing distance from my right foot on one of my previous hikes.

Hopefully they will amend the animal AI to create a better environment, where if you approach and alert zebra or whatever animal may be there, that the guards/humans/enemy will notice something spooked the animals and be on the lookout for what caused the disturbance.

It's quite possible that that was a staged screenshot, so that the player could get a good look at the wildlife. The did something quite similar in original Oblivion demo videos, where the player ran right up to a deer before it ran away (only after staring at the player for a bit). Devs often cheat to show off certain features when they demo a game.
