Ok, so I downloaded a Torrent program to see what it's all about and how it all works (I have a 3gig cap so had no intention of using it), so it asked me during installation to install Java something or the other from Java.com. So anyway all went well and the programme worked, I checked it out and whatever and then uninstalled it. Now all of a sudden Flash sites tell me I need to install flash player, I have done that now about 100 times and these sites still say the same thing, all the while I have the downlaod window open telling me "flash player has been succesfully installed" with a little animation going. I've checked my internet security settings and Action script is enabled. But now whats really got me is that just yesterday by some miracle it suddenly started working fine after Downloading it yet again, it was working the whole day no problemo, now this morning I turn on my PC and it's back to square one...????????...... o_O
Please could someone try help me, I have had no response on other sites which is why I posted here on the Nag forum. Anything short of formatting my HDD would be great.
Thanx in advance...

I have the solution to your problem: FireFox (http://www.download.com/Mozilla-Firefox/3000-2356_4-10719259.html?tag=lst-0-4).

Don't be tart. If people want to use IE, they can. If you can't solve his problem, either don't say anything or just say you don't know.

Ok fine. I DON'T KNOW what's wrong.
Although my Firefox is working brilliantly.
If people want to use IE, they can.
The thing is most people don't even know that any other browsers exist and only use IE because it comes with windows.

Fair enough, then making a suggestion to use FireFox instead would be prudent - but there is no reason to be tart about it.
ioiiooio, I use FireFox and I have found it to work better in many instances, than IE. If you can, try switching to it to see if you like it.

Thanx, that seems to have done the job, although IE still says I need to download Flash player.... weird....

The exact same thing is happening to me, I have 3 installations of active x on my "add remove programs" everytime I go to a new site that uses flash it asks to install it, but sites where I have been does not ask me. Strange.
btw I like IE7, and I don't like Firefox, deal with it. :)

I wanna throw in here that Opera (http://www.opera.com/) is pretty neat too.
Of course, there are ways in which it's both superior and inferior to Firefox, so you'd have to make that call.

Yeah. Opera is the slowest browser around, but its also the safest.
If you want to, check this (http://www.garyshood.com/browser/) article out.
