Hi
I just need some quick help with a school project please. For the Afrikaans people, I just need you to translate 2 terms for me:
"oop rekening"
"paaiementverkope"
I've got to do research and having the Afrikaans terms really don't help (I mean 'slimkaart', really). I know the first one is "open account" when translated directly, but I can't find any info on that, so, yeah.
Just quick help please!

Can't really put "oop rekening" into context. It's been ages since I've done any accounting.
But I can say that "paaiementverkope" are sales where the buyer pays you back in instalments (probably monthly).
oop rekening : open account
paaiementverkope : payment sales
Not sure if their perfect in context.. but thats the literal translations! :D

"oop rekening"
"paaiementverkope"
First could be also be: "current account" (although that's "lopende rekening" in Afrikaans), but give us sample sentences with the words in and we'll be able to help properly.
I've never had contact with the second, doesn't even make sense as far as I know.

No, you're right. I just have "Find uit wat oop rekeninge en paaiementverkope is" as samples. But I just found out that my grandpa is a retired bank manager, and his answers are the same as yours.

The most important thing is to quote your granpa in the text itself using the Harvard method.
Eg. Granpa (2008) states that current account...

I may be abit late to help but here is the meaning of those two words. And trust me its correct:
oop rekening - open account
paaiementverkope - instalment sales
Find uit wat oop rekeninge en paaiementverkope is- Find out that/what open accounts and instalment sales is
:) sorry if its abit late. Hope it helped
