I want to get a new ipod (preferably a 4 gig nano) and I'm looking for the best places to buy it.
A second hand one will be fine as well.
I have purchased my local junk mail to no avail, so I was wondering if anyone knew of some websites that sell them cheaply(new or used)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have only a week left in the country to buy it.

Double thread posting is not advised.

I just saw it, I did not do it intentionally though, and have asked for the other one to be deleted.

Brand new:
- Look and Listen
- Incredible C
- iStore (theres one in clearwater mall)

Second hand:
I would advise against, I know that for instant my ipod will every now and then fail as if completely broken, and wouldnt trust someone I bought it from knowing how finnicky thy can be.

Unless you get iPods on sale they are generally the same price wherever you look, so check the newspaper for sale adverts.

edg3 is right to avoid second hand, phones and MP3 players tend to hit the deck often. I managed to get a 40 gig for R1200 from L&L, but it was a demo model. Lightly used and under full warranty.

Unless you avoid ipods altogether and get one of the other far cheaper mp3 players that have more space on them too.

My advice, dont get an iPod.
They suck.
Get a sandisk sansa e270 (6gb)
I had one for a year and it broke, I replaced it with a nano, and its just not as good

Yes, but it broke....

I have a 6g Ipod Classic (160Gb). Its awesome. The nano is flippen cool - very fast and small.

iPods are by far the best mp3 players available. I myself have an iPod Touch and I use it for practically everything. I have a calendar on it with a planner, I have email, plenty of cool little games and then of course, the main feature, I have all my music and series on it!! :) The iStore sells the software to convert your dvds to ipod format.

Also, I have never once had a problem with any of the ipods I have had in the past, my previous one was an ipod classic 80gb and worked beautifully until it was stolen in Heathrow. The one before that was an iPod Mini which still to this day works perfectly and has the same battery life as it did when I first got it.

I have heard tons about the iPod Nano as well and I must admit, they are perfect for someone who is looking for the ultimate in portability.

Yes, because I jumped off a 2 metre ledge with it in my pocket and fell directly on it.

OK, well if you had stated that in the beginning. I reckoned it just kinda gave up.

Well I'm getting a new ipod(open once to see if it works) for R1100.
Which is 500 less than new , so I'm happy!

I have an Ipod Nano, absolutly love it. Its only got 2 gigs, but for music, its more than satsifactory, besides, I am never long away from home, so loading different music on it, is easy.
