Which of the game reviewers tell it like it is , who?s review will determine if you buy the game or not. Please discuss any recent review which made your choice in buying easier.

This is difficult I think you should allow at least 2 options.

No (one) review will determine if i buy a game or not, and i think all of them tell it like it is, out of their own view points. For me, it takes the couple of reviews from different perspectives sometimes to help my with an overall view or idea of a game (even bad reviewers). The latest review for me that did help alot though was the Nag review on C&C3 for the Xbox 360 - sorry, can't remember who did it. *slap on the wrist*

Yes the whole collective opinion thing works best. coz hate to break it to you, but the nag staffers are also human ,so they will have preferences, and with preference comes some bias - no offence ment to the staff - nice thread thou

QFE. It's almost like being narrow minded to me. You lose out in the end, one should always try and take in as much info as one can possibly take from as many sources possible.

None taken - that's why we put the reviewer names back at the bottom: so readers can form a relationship with the reviewers, learn to know what the reviewer's preferences are.

I like to get info from as many sources as possible, but I've realised I have similar tastes to Priest and Azi so I tend to give their reviews a bit more weight. Bummer there weren't 2 options, wisp you bastard ;)

I have never been the God most worshipped - some people just think I am, because they're not really thinking. :P

I have a guy's name? o_O

"Tarryn" is unisex, but the masculine version is usually spelled "Tarran" or "Taran".

There are maby two reason I made that mistake, I had to quick of glance over the names and maby just becuase I am Afrikaans and I have not encountered anyone with that name before.

Lol. I think Azi's new by-line should be Tarryn 'Is female FFS' vd Byl or some variation thereof.

And I really thought the sig was a STRONG clue ;)

Glad to see you've notice the importance of that, after you were quite adamant about 2 years ago that there should be no reviewer name and just "NAG". Both options have their merit, but I think that's exactly what makes a magazine more awesome than a website; the reviewers are consistent and therefore you can form a game preference relationship with them.

Not to mention that having a magazine aimed at a slightly older demographic doesn't stop it from being chilled and reader-bondish. ^^

NAG is not a completed project - we're always going to be experimenting and trying new things, based on ideas and inspiration. When we removed the reviewer names back then, we did it for two reasons - we wanted to try and give the magazine more of an identity for itself, because we felt readers were getting too attached to certain names in the magazine instead of giving the magazine itself the credit it deserves, and secondly: at the time I was practically the only reviewer, and we didn't want readers to only see 'Miktar' at the bottom of every single review.
