Well from what I can see its the new MXit or Skype for cellphones.

Yeigo is a new cellphone application which allows users to phone on their cellphone by using their 3G/WAP/GPRS?etc. The only catch that I can see is that only Symbian 5 (most new Nokias) and WindowsMobile supported phones can use it at the moment.

Check the local site at www.yeigo.co.za for more info.

Taking MXit's current userbase into account, no. And I seriously doubt it ever getting that status too. Nice little application though, nifty.

Well, im just saying MXit started out super small and didnt support most phones but we can only wait and see.

PS: its a VoIP app as well as sms and live chat.

Majority of MXit users aren't high end users, so Yeigo means jack**** to them. Maybe in time, but that's some hard specs. Most entry and mid-level phones won't be coming out with it as standard. It's really awesome etc. Just not the new MXit. Maybe in quite a few years yes.

Yay! My phone is compatible. N91, now I just need all the people I know to somehow get a new phone. Any ideas :)

Yeah by no means the new mxit. Not everyone, or even close to mxit numbers probably, that actually have a Symbian 5 or Windows Mobile phone... :P

Another comment, although the whole voip thing is pretty cool. Half the thing about mxit is having a bunch of friends who you chat to at the same time, not having an actual conversation. Don't know if that made sense, it does in my head :) don't know if i quite got it out
