I sought the August issue of NAG, and this is what happened:

Everything started off perfectly normally. I finished the stuff I was working on, got up, and decided to go out in order to buy NAG. I picked up 40 GOLD PIECES, applied my LOTION OF +50 FIRE RESISTANCE, and went along my merry way, whisteling Metallica's One (how I managed that is a story for another day).

My first stop was the quickshop down the street, where I normally buy NAG. Unfortunately, my way was blocked by BROKEN SLIDING DOOR (LEVEL 3). I PUNCHED it for 15 DAMAGE. It shattered and its shards cut into my hand, dealing me 20 DAMAGE. Wincing slightly, I entered the shop.

My eyes travelled along the magazine rack, but did not find their target. This cannot be, I thought. This place ALWAYS has NAG!

Bewildered and disillusioned with my favourite quickshop, I stammered out of the empty doorframe, carefully avoiding the remaining glass shards. +5 EXP.

I thought about going home, but my will forced me to abandon that idea and go to the nearby Pick & Pay, another place known to sell NAG. Adjusting my +10 BASEBALL CAP OF HAIR-FLATTENING, I began my journey towards the Pick & Pay.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a monsterous SUPERMARKET CONSCIOUSNESS. It was a giant, swirling cloud of blue smoke, and from its depths I could hear the sounds of advertising slogans and satisfied customers talking about low prices. But I didn't have long to marvel at the thing before it started turning red and coming towards me.

I looked down at myself, wondering what had angered the beast. I was wearing my free Checkers shirt. Not the best choice of apparel.

The beast SUMMONED a group of LEVEL 1 CASHIERS, in hopes of defeating me. But he had underestimated my power. Thinking quickly, I CAST LEVEL 2 BETTER WAGE OFFER, and turned the cashiers over to my side. I watched triumphantly as they each DELT the beast 20 DAMAGE, and then walked off. +30 EXP.

I walked over to the smoldering remains of the consciousness, and noticed a shiny A4-sized booklet. My heart lept as I saw the word "NAG" in its upper right corner. With a squeal of glee, I snatched it off the ground. But then I realized the horrible truth.

It was LAST MONTH'S issue.

Bitterly, I grabbed a bag of Lay's that had been lying nearby, to RESTORE my HP. I just hoped that the taste would not be marred too much by my tears.

GAME OVER

Yeah, I played this game. It was too short, and I thought the plot needed a happier ending. That is, until I realized that I had missed an essential item.

If you hunt around the INTERNET location, you'll find a SUBSCRIPTION OF ALWAYS-GETTITUDE +12. Add it to your inventory, use the KEYBOARD on it, and deposit it in the SUBSCRIPTION EMAIL.

That's one way to go about it. I hear the game's pretty nonlinear, so try hunting around for other, hidden locations as well.

Did you check the the secrete shop? By secrete shop I mean the news agent of a 1000 magazines. There lies the treasure that is nag. Deep inside the cave of "CNA".

@Gazza_N: Thanks, now I won't need to use the walkthrough.

@Chevron: I wanted to go there, but it was guarded by the menacing LARGE ROAD WITH TRUCKS boss.

He can be beaten though. He seems to freeze up whenever he sees a red light and has a weak point. Go for the TYRES.

No, don't the last guy that went for the tires didn't make it out alive. Just hold R2 in and flee. It's usually too slow, but Gazza N is correct. His way is much easier.

But who wants a moogle delivering your nag?

A Moogle:

Well, maybe Chevron has an unpatched version, because mine always works perfectly. Hum... If you do have issues maybe you should contact tech support, I hear they're always ready to help.

The method I found saves you a small quantity of GP too, which is cool if you want to buy items later in the game (The BUDGET TITLE comes to mind).

EDIT: Yeah... I know... Moogles are a bug, aren't they? Unless you've been spending your GP on Skooma instead... :P

True but dangerous. What is (Mildly) safer is to use the Two-Wheel Agility Upgrade (a bonus of using this upgrade is that combustible fuel becomes cheaper) and dodge and weave through the danger.(+ 2 xp for every extra unit of speed)

N.B. The Boss is also encumbered and thus slow off the start at afore mentioned lights, exploit this.

LOL.

Moogles delivered mail in Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles on the 'cube.

Off topic:
Does mail have liver and why does it always need to get de-livered?

Yes this unfortunatly is not a rare bug. Basically the item that is supposed to drop upon slaying the end game boss just doesnt, very frustrating indeed. The makers have promised to adress this in a forthcoming patch : /

At least your version of the game works :(

I had to patch it to add a side quest which allows me to complete the game. I'll put my solution here, in case someone is using the UK edition.

After you do what Gazza_N, you have to USE INSTANT MESSAGING on PARENTS [sometimes FRIENDS can be used, depends on the random encounter] and cast Lvl 5 Charm on them

This method requires a very high level of Charisma unfortunately but, if you are successful, you obtain the NAG MAGAZINE.

I don't recommend the UK version as it has serious lag, I am talking 2 months lag, and it tends to be very unreliable.

I hold in my hands the August issue of NAG. Turns out the quickshop's delivery was delayed by EVIL GREMLINS (LEVEL 3). After defeating them with my +10 SWORD OF PATIENCE, I was finally able to acquire the treasure that is NAG. LEVEL UP!

I hear what you are saying, but I have also heard that when using the SUBSCRIPTION OF ALWAYS-GETTITUDE +12, the Overlord of Post Office uses demon spawn clad in red to deliver your NAG. Apparently, these demon spawn are hell bent on the destruction of your quest reward, and by hell bent, I mean that they bend your NAG to hell and back.

Also, these demon spawn have added a lot of skill points in Sneak and Pickpocket, so the intact delivery of your quest item is not guaranteed.

True some demon spawn do bend your NAG to hell and back and some demons keep the NAG for themselves but lots of demons are honest and they deliver the magazine as they get +25 Honesty Points for delivering it to the right domicile and eternal damnation for not doing so!

Maybe I was playing on a lower difficulty level, but in my seven years of playing the game I've never encountered said demon spawn or the results of their evil deeds. Ever. O_o

Your post sucked, isak, try again.
Better yet, go spam another thread - we are actually having fun and being creative.

Back on topic:

Gazza_N: Perhaps I was also on a lower difficulty, or have picked up some item that allows the NAG MAGAZINE to appear in my mailbox.

Have you checked the manual?

I have been tempted at times to find those demon spawn and hack them with an axe or cast a permanent ice spell on them to make sure they can never sneak\pick pocket our NAG mag ever!
