Ok, I know there are threads for game that people want to play but if the admin o'gods could please inform the masses what games there will be servers for. Because i remeber last year hoping to play some fear combat only to find out that there was no server. and when i played savage there wasnt any one on the server and when i spoke to people they didnt know there was one.
So please a little info goes a long way ;)

A nice chat server would solve this, you can just post that your server is up and people will join.

yeah, IRC or DC can be used for this. But rather IRC seeing most people will close DC when they want to play a game.

Yeah putting the server lists up somewhere would also help so we know what servers are being put to host what games...and the first time I went I didn't even know that everyone was using DC, I had to ask and that gets tiring :P

Warcraft, DOTA, C&C3 and related peer to peer servers can obviously not be hosted by us.

I have not finalized the possible chat server, but we will try and have some means available. If I don’t update it on the forums, just pop onto our website at the event and you should find the answers.

For games that require steam, we will update our servers just before the event and will then go in offline mode. No internet connection is available at the event. I do realize that this may be problematic for Cs and CSS players and we are aware of this and will address it by appropriate means.

I will post the versions later that we will use and update as is necessary.

No-fear you have one foal mouth, but only when you deal with some stupidity or ignorance.

@ Pietersielie, their will be a SupCom and BFME2 tournament and you are welcome to join. They are not part of the VC setup but rather mine, there are prizes and it will be conducted in a professional manner.

Not even sure whether I should, but here goes. Most strategy games are peer to peer and therefore does not have dedicated servers. Beyond that we cannot cater for every game that has attracted some interest.

There will be no servers but there will be plenty competitions, some official ones are Supreme Commander and Battle for Middle Earth 2, any other strategy game you can just go into the network lobby of that game and see if there are other players with that game.

Sure you can copy them or you can download them:) Either way you still have to purchase the game. This works for all the steam games so far I know.

I bought Crysis Warhead on Saturday, and i have to say, it is just brilliant. I got a second disc called Crysis Wars, which has 21 maps for great multiplayer. It's one of the most fun i have had playing an fps at a LAN. I really hope it will be big at rAge this year...

It is a mod of half life 2....basically you have two teams and you start of in the build phase and build defenses and walls with different sized pieces and then comes the combat phase and it is then a capture the flag between the two teams....

lol. Far Cry 2 will only be released on the 24th of October, and thats IF we are lucky and it doesn't get delayed again. Sacred 2 releases internationally on Friday, so there is a good chance that we will see it there.

I have heard, however, that the guys behind Far Cry 2 will be at rAge this year for some presentations. Maybe some hands on testing for us? :P

Here are the games that should be available at rAge:

Obviously the older ones not mentioned have been available for a while. We might get a few surprises though. I remember last year rAge had Enemy Territories Quake Wars before it's International release date. :)
