It's been over 30 years since Robert Redford played Jay Gatsby in the 1974 film based on Fitzgerald's classic novel.



I, for one, remain cautiously optimistic about the new film by Luhrmann. He's obviously one of our generation's great directors, but can he pull off Gatsby?

I'm a bit worried also by the amount of CG in this film, not to mention the soundtrack... Nonetheless I intend to go see it the first day.
