I would like to come, but have a bit of an embarrinsing question. Would I be shunned, laughed at if I can with a laptop. It's not a fancy gaming laptop, but can play gaes like cod 4 and tf2, and is better than my pc. How would others take to this?

If it's better than your PC then bring it, just make sure not to ever leave it unattended obviously.

I sincerely doubt you will be shunned or laughed at. A lappie that can play CoD4 or TF2 is pretty sweet. I'd much prefer a semi-gaming laptop than lugging my heavy tower and 22" LCD around to LAN's.

I just want to check where i can get the red plug for a laptop power supply?
And am I allowed to have seperate power plugs for my screen and my laptop?
The answer might be obvious but just wana check as I could not find the answer anywhere else

All Im asking for is a Play TV release from Sony, and rAge 2009 would be the perfect place to do that.

gng too order a terrabyte hardrive just for all the stuff there is too get, made the mistake of only having 160gig last year :(

I had exactly the same problem.
It sux when you're busy copying and you recieve the copy error message and you wonder why and when you look at your harddrive space left and it is less than 50 mb

My problem is i got a 1TB network drive, doubt that they will allow me to use it there :(

You will need the plug, go to any hardware store and ask for a red ups plug or you can try your local PC shop. There is now time for them to source it :D

if i can get 2 power slots, it will be awesome. otherwise i just have to play on my laptop screen. Gonna be bloody anoying but i am sure i will be alright for 3 days lol

I would like to know, What the requirements are for the power.

Do we need to bring our own power cables? (if so then what if we have 2power cables, 1 4 the screen and 1 4 the computer would that B a problem?)

is the plug socket square or round?

ok. you definetly have bring your own power cables, though power slot allocation at the moement im not sure as i have asked no reply in thread. Maybe get an admin.

Hiya, its good to be back for my 5th year.
The previous years everyone had 2 power outlets, one for your screen and one for your PC. Most of the time people only use only one because the red plugs give you 2 to 3 connections power support. For the plugs themselves they only support the top flattened earth pins, so i guess you can say they are half block and half round (for my dear friend r3v07v3r). Its just like an normal round plug with a flatland earth pin. UPSes are not allowed. Plain power and PC's will be tested for power usage at the entrance.

No offence to the nag team or any one that works to put it together...
But me and about 20 friends were discussing rage and i have to say, it needs more zazz..
all the rage events we have been to "all of them" where predictable.. i never see anything new...
last year everything i saw was the same there was no Zazz.. except that guy that broke my nose for a poster.
That realy destroyed my day. as i had to walk around with a blood splattered shirt and two tissues shoved up my nose.

The anime works stand wasnt there.. and i can tell you that stand was busy when it was there.
Also the Rage lan was full of pirates and leechers.

But seriosly.. i think you guys can do so much more and make it so much better.
I'm really not trying to start a fight, please understand

I really enjoyed rage last year, It was much better than the previous year, and remains a light at the end of the tunnel for me...

Well r@ge last year was awesome! I was looking forward to the Anime worx stand like the year before. but it wasnt there. at least there was an Uncut stand. but all in all rage was Awesome! As always!
