Should I have missed any questions, please post them again. Do however try and ensure that it hasn?t been covered.

Your FAQ says: ".... based on what servers VC and/or the community will have up and running...."

Will your servers be running: Call of Duty 3, Counter Strike Source and Battlefield 2?

For some reason the FAQ thread was locked. Opened the thread and left answers there. Prefer to have one thread with all the questions instead of trying to monitor a multitude with limited time.

?Something needs to be done about the queue outside the LAN entrance. Last year there were about 30 people camping out against the roller door. Security had to ask them to move in order to open up. Throw up some people barriers or something. Get a proper queue environment going. The doors open and all of a sudden it's a free for all, nothing resembling order in sight. ?
Valid point. I normally orchestrate the chaos inside so I am not really up to date on this aspect. I will look into a solution.

?Will your servers be running: Call of Duty 3, Counter Strike Source and Battlefield 2? ?
COD 4, COD 5, CS (most likely Source and 1.6) but no BF2. Please note that these are indications only since I still need to get the number of servers available. BF is not included since a very large portion of the serious BF guys are already playing in the Telkom comp. It will however be possible to join their FFA servers from the LAN.

I went to a builders warehouse last year and just bought 5 plugs ... replaced my black plugs with the red ones (cut them off :) ) .. else if you don't want to cut it .. u can try incredible connection .. or just buy another power plug cable that goed into the laptop adapter .. and cut that plug off and put on the red one yourself.

Whether you use a laptop or a PC does not make a difference. You do not need a new cable, just the correct plug. Thus if you buy the correct dedicated plug you fit it in place of your existing plug. The plug should be R10 at most at any decent electrical supplier or similar outlet.

If youve never heard of the NAG LAN before, or this is your first time there and you want to get a feel for what to expect, SACM has posted a feature article up on their website.

Can you buy a daisy chain with this special red plug already attached? And why is this plug even necessary?

Yes you can buy the daisy chain cords with the correct plug at most PC shops.

As far as to why, two main reasons. Firstly I crave for the continuous interaction with pixilated screens to explain what has been covered more than once and most recently in the FAQ section. Secondly as some almost famous person said a very long time ago ?Because I said so?

Or you may accept the more common explanation because it is a requirement to comply with legislature.

    Thanks.

I just wanted to know, because one of my friends went with his normal plug and didn't run into any trouble, but then again- it was in 2006...

There is a sticky Frequently Asked Questions thread on the first page!

Please read through this and it will answer most if not all your questions.

Hi, Stupid question: I want to use my gaming laptop for rage but I want to use my 24 Inch screen...Like a dual screen operation. Will I be able to do this?

“Does the NAG LAN supply LAN cables or is that our problem”
Cables are supplied. Read the FAQ to see what we supply and what you need.

    “Like a dual screen operation”
Dual screens are not allowed because of space and power. Since you are running from your laptop, if you only use the screen and not run both then I assume that it will be fine.

“but i haven't got the patient enough to read the whole thread”
I appreciate this but do keep in mind that I have to read through all of it answering the same questions multiple times. Not a very productive way to spend my time. Read through the FAQ and most of the questions will have been addressed in a single thread.

Okay will it be acceptable if my screen uses the same power as my laptop? The main screen will be positioned over my laptop so that it will not use more space than a normal desktop pc. I doubt that this setup will consume more electricity than any other desktop pc.

You only get 2 power points so if you use one for your laptop and one for your screen then it should be fine. (remember the red plugs tho) ;)

Then your friend probably forced his plug in , which in a fools world , works , but in most cases ive seen , it breaks the multi-plug either when you take it out , or smash it in.
