and the other 500??
I really think rAge should consider selling only 1 ticket per ID.
people can buy their own damn tickets for themselves. reason for this - some people actually buy 3 or so tickets to rub it in someones face(or for a friend that was to lazy to buy, so other people lose out). I encountered one of these gentleman and he basically rubbed it in my face. me and couple of my chums wanted to buy 5 tickets but it was sold out just over 48 hours(a lot faster than last year.) was considering to enter the do gaming league(or whatever its called) to get VIP tickets if we win. but no idea where to register.
if anyone has an idea where to register please tell me! :)
as for your friend, there is really no need to feel suicidal about not getting tickets, just take him with you to the day expo to check all the awesome stuff they sell at rage :D
im really worried now?i got my rage ticket and it will be my first rage. But this red plug thing is geting me worried, where can i buy 1 in PTA?and i hear you can only have 1 plug,i need 2 cause i got 1 for my lcd monitor and my pc?
Dude, it's not that difficult. Go to a hardware store, ask someone behind the counter for the red dedicated power plugs with the shaved earth pin. Better yet, find a Builders Warehouse and take a stroll to the electronics section. You'll find it there for sure.
The limit is 2 plugs, you'll be fine.
@ DarthStorm. Are you attending rAge this year, and have you bought a ticket in time? if so, i will understand why you don't support my point on the 1 ticket per ID sale. i agree with you in the planning ahead statement but how can you plan ahead?!? i got time to go online to computicket at 4pm on monday, and guess what? sold out. just over 48 hours. and why was that? yes i know the event is popular but i can guarentee 40-70% of that was caused by people that buy their 5+ tickets.
No Offence.. But I agree with Nictron and DarthStorm.
The 5 ticket per person limit works well.. We always get one or two friends to go buy the tickets. for everyone. much better that way. for instance I was on the phone that Friday morning almost Constantly making sure everyone got their money ready. so me and a friend spent the better part of Saturday getting 5 tickets.. Now all of our friends can go and everyone is happy.
Besides do you even know what mess it would have been if everyone would have had to buy their own ticket..
My point is this is rAge if you don't plan to get the tickets Early you would end up without one. even with the 5 ticket per person ratio.. and the 1 ticket per person ratio the odds are against you if you decide to buy a ticket 48 hours after release.
It will always be inevitable that people wont get tickets.. Just try harder next year..
For those of you who thought that I was serious, I was just being a bit sarcastic. This friend of mine was actually informed 3 weeks ago to add a reminder and buy the tickets on Saturday and he did not do that and miss out.
Based on last years sales I knew this year will be crazy fast, that is why on this forum I was the first one with a ticket. Had mine at 9:30am on Saturday.
Having one ticket per ID will just add more congestion to the system as it is.
Those who scalp tickets and buy price inflated tickets will just be banned and that will stop it in it's tracks
I prefer the 5 tickets idea because that allows a team like COD, DOTA CS etc to ensure that the whole team is able to make it. To buy one at a time if you have three kids, not so good idea. Unfortunately it is not going to change anything at this point. A larger LAN has been considered but will not be possible this year.
Every single person that knows anything about rAge would have known that ticket sales start on the 1st of August, exactly the same as last year, and the year before. Everyone basically had the ENTIRE year to make sure that by any means necessary, they will get a ticket ON THE DAY THEY BECAME AVAILABLE.
Everybody knew that they would sell instantly. I made sure that any plans i had were cancelled, just so that i could be waiting at Computicket at 09:30 on August 1st. As a result, i got my ticket, and can't wait to attend.
I have no sympathy whatsoever for any of you that missed out, because quite frankly, if you really wanted to go, you would have done anything to ensure getting a ticket. I drove 200km from my home town of Middelburg to get to a Computicket here in Johannesburg, because i knew buying online was just way too risky. It's so annoying reading half of these stories about missing out.
Fact is, it's your own fault.
