I owe you for sharing this link, Chevron. Thank you :)

I got that PS3 bundle delivered today, brand new in box (2 games sealed too). Resistance and Motorstorm. My new 27" monitor came at the SAME TIME (from a separate vendor and courier).

    Damn, what a deal.

Also, went out and bought MGS4 today. Wow, what a game.

Anyone interested and living in Cape Town, the Bellville branch of Tafelberg Furnishers are having a special on monitors. R1899 for the BX2350 , and R1999 for the BX2450

Was at a game store yesterday, they had the following special:

Sony Bravia 32" Full HD Screen (not sure if it was plasma or LCD)
    Sony 250GB PS3
    1 x FIFA World Cup 2010 (PS3)
    2 x Blu-Rays (2012 and an animation film, can't remember which one)

Was R8999.95, now only R7499.95. Not sure if it was only for the weekend.

Any idea when this special is ending? I am wanting the BX2450 which was going for the same price on Take 2, just then I wouldn't have to wait for delivery.

I went to Tafelberg Furnishers yesterday and talked to the guy, he said the price is valid untill stock lasts. He did however say they ran out and got more, and the price is still the same. The Bellville branch had 5 left when i was there.

I ended up getting the Phillips Brilliance 23" LED for R1700 at Chaos Computers in Somerset West. Absolutely **** hot monitor and I am really impressed. Considering that my original choice was gonna be the Samsung P2770, I am so glad I didn't get it as the 23" is a lot bigger than I expected and barely fits in the space between the surface of my desk and the shelf above. Very cool monitor and I am super chuffed with it.

It looks pretty Retro :P it not a bit wobbly with that tiny base? Also i noticed the response time is pretty high, but if u are happy with it its the only thing that matters :)

5ms isn't that high, majority of screens come with 5ms response times, and I'll be honest I've never had any ghosting issues with my 5ms screen. Not really worth the extra cost to get a 2ms screen unless you are particularly sticky about that kind of thing.

Price has changed slightly over there, gone up to R3879. Which is still really good for that card.

I've got a shipment coming in with the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 2 GB DDR5 HEXAD MINI DP PCI-Express Graphics Card - I'm selling them for R3590 when they land, or R3300 for people buying before they land.

RADEON HD 5870 1GB DDR5 HDMI Graphics Card HD587XZNFC for R3295, or R3000 for people buying before they land

Then the Gigabyte Radeon HD 5870-2 GB DDR5 256B PCIE2.1 - R4095, or R3850 for purchases before they land. But there are only 2 of these remaining.

Can you guys give me some feedback on the pricing ? I've been doing very well with my pricing, but it's always good to hear what's happening out there.

In all honesty you should be focusing on the 6 series now. Especially the 6950 1gig.

    +1. Better value for money.

The price I originally qouted was on special, the SSD as well. Nivo is worth keeping an eye on for specials. I purchased my GFX card, the MSI GTX460 Cyclone 1GB OC for R1,949 a few months ago. I was very pleased with the price, as the card really OC's well and performs quite well for a sub-R2000 card.
