Does that mean apps like Smart SWF Player- Flash Viewer - 375kb won't run in android anymore?Does the Adobe Flash Player Plugin come installed by default with android?Forgot to mention my phone runs a version of symbian os.

Its only for the Android ecosystem, Nokia handsets will still receive updates because Symbian doesn't have the same I-wanna-be-iOS issues. The Flash Player doesn't actually come by default with Android, its always a download - most phones have a flash viewer, but not the player.

Nokia's new Lumia family to debut today (link live at 12AM)

And its the first commercially-available phone family with a wireless induction charger available. Yes, you heard right boys and girls, a wireless charger. This does mean that the Lumia 920 and 820 will eschew the old 2mm chargers most modern Nokias come bundled with (the ones that were super-efficient and quick, mind you) and rely on USB charging if you've left your super-sweet wireless one elsewhere.

Both phones will be shown off at a special conference today and I'll try my best to find wherever the live stream of the conference might be. For now, here's the Lumia 920 for you to admire.

Is there any chance that there are micro usb cellphone chargers with SA plugs on them? Maybe even just something which plugs into an SA socket, and can have a usb cable attached to it.

I have a severe hatred towards europin, shucko, and really just any 2 pin plug. I was hoping now that cellphone chargers have standardised on micro usb, that someone would make a charger with an SA plug.

In the build-up to the October release of Windows 8 for desktops and tablets, Nokia released details of their new Lumia range comprising of the 920 and the 820, both in-place upgrades to the existing Lumia 800 and 900 which will forever be stuck with Windows Phone 7.8. Motorola, sensing the impending wave of press from the upcoming Apple iPhone reveal, also chose to reveal the lineup of the Razr refresh, details of which will follow. Amazon is also doing a reveal of its new Kindles today, but that conference hasn't yet started. In the meantime, let me introduce you to what could be your next upgrade.

Well, yes, there are ALOT of nice smartphones out there..... But to be honest, I like my BlackBerry XD

Yeah sure, its battery life sucks, its maker is going out of business, and they cant do much, but for what I want, its perfect.

As long as I turn off the 3G when I'm out, it wont kill my battery, I can use BBM for free and get free browsing, even if it is a little slow..

But to be honest, the main reason I got a BlackBerry, was BBM... Its amazing and I dunno what I'd do without it. I talk to my girlfriend the ENTIRE DAY. We must sent eachother I coulple hundred messages, maybe close to a thousand on weekends we arent together. Its just really easy to keep in touch.
And before you say 'iPhone + WhatsApp?!'
I hate WhatsApp with a passion.... No idea why, just never liked it....

For all my other "Smart" needs, I do have my hands on a BlackBerry Playbook, an iPad and an iPod touch, but even then, I never use them...

I'm saving up for a new phone but can't decide on going for an iPhone 4S or a Samsung Galaxy S3?

Can anyone on the forum shed some light on the situation e.g. personal experience with either phone.

Except that its totally not what the uncapped browsing data is there for anyway. If I want to download I'll use my uncapped ADSL for that.

Hehe tell that to the student who's just bought a BB account to use the "free internet" on it. It's the only reason 90% of my BB-owning friends have BB's. It's why I got an Adroid device - I already have FULL uncapped internet at home! :)

Ok here is a question about BB software.

Each time a friend of mine comes over and plugs his stupid BB into my pc to charge it it messes with my internet connection and I have to restart all my internet settings on my pc after then if he sticks a stupid BBpad in my pc it does exactly the same thing. I dont have any problems with Apple products but what is up with the BB software that it disables all your internet connections on your PC I have seen this happen at multiple friends homes and had to restart all theyre connections and convinced them to throw BB away.

Nokia, Sony erricson, Apple & motorola phones do not have these problems even Samsung phones do not do it is there something in the code of the BB software that is intended to disconnect your PC from the net once that junk is plugged in?

What's probably happened is your Internet Explorer is set to use the Blackberry's modem for internet connectivity. You can check this under Tools > Internet Options > Connections. Should you see more than one connection available, make sure you select "Never dial a connection". Or you can also choose to dial your default connection by setting one connection to default. Additionally, under LAN Settings you should make sure that "Auto detect settings" is unchecked.

Definitely not for Apple. Well, I'm on the US store. Don't know about the local one. But I buy gift cards off Evopoints.co.za instead of a credit card to get apps.

For both you have to use a credit card. Apple, to its credit, at least offers the option to buy stuff using Evopoints, as Cynikill said. Both stores show app prices in local currency unless you're using a US account for the Apple store. So far, the only store that uses airtime for app purchases is still Nokia, although Microsoft is in meetings with European cell companies to offer carrier billing there. Hopefully, that'll filter down to us with time.
