Who gonna win the Super 14 ?

Seeing as we have a footy thread and a IPL thread all things being equal , how about a Super 14 thread.

Any predictions cause after the Sharks (my team) last two performances at Bloem and at home the finalists could be any one of 8.

Ps I still know that the Sharks are going to win and we will be eating Blue Bull steaks on the 16th of May :P

Well I am a Lions supporter, don't see them winning it. I just hope it is an S.A. team.

Realistically, I think both the Sharks and Bulls will get into the semi's at least, unless something goes seriously wrong. From there well the Sharks should win but if they play kak on the day the Bulls could take it.

Big Lions supporter, but I recon that the Bulls are the only SA team that stand a chance. I'm still watching the brumbies and crusaders with interest. Think either side can pull it off.

Well being an avid Sharks supporter you guys know my choice. They've always been the underdogs and have the skills to take it all the way. Even with their last performance I still think they can pull if off. Go Sharks!!

Not without a decent flyhalf they can't. Move Stein to centre/fullback and get a decent decision maker in, and then yes, they will have a chance. But without a world-class flyhalf, they have no chance.

VIVA SHARKS!!! They have been playing brilliantly and I'll enjoy seeing them win the super 14!

Agreed the Sharks are need Ruan Pienaar back, Steyn is good, but he's no fly-half. I still think that they should make the semis though.

The Sharks haven't been the underdogs for a good couple of years now, in fact prior to the Super 14, the popular consensus from all 3 of the SANZAR nations was that the Sharks should win it this year.

By all accounts they do have the best team in the comp, and definitely the experience to do it, I don't think people should read too much into the past 2 games, even before they got that hiding against the cheetahs I was expecting them to lose, blame it on SA rivalry, and the Crusaders game really was touch and go there, considering they were denied a clear penalty when the Saders scrum just disintegrated on their tryline.

Would have loved to see the Stormers feature more this year though, but with the massive injury list and rather timid attack this year, coupled with the hardest tour I've seen since Super Rugby started, I've been very disappointed.

well i will take a double helping of the blue bull steak argh. well even if the sharks dont win the highlight of the whole super 14 season was seeing Rory Kockott smack someone double his size, was priceless.

Sharkies are out my friend. Too many injuries, and not enough focus. Bulls have a chance, but I think this is the Hurricanes year.

Before this year's Super 14 I predicted that 4 teams would be in the top 4, the Sharks, Chiefs, Hurricanes and the Stormers.

Bar the obvious failure of the Stormers this year and the excellent play by the Bulls, I've got to say I was pretty accurate.

I'm hoping it stays this way too, don't think Sharks are out of it, Adrian Jacobs appears to be fit and Steyn is injured so he won't be able to **** about at flyhalf anymore \:-D/

Don't think we're going to get both teams into home semi spots though, that's probably going to go to the Bulls.
