HELLO [Official newcomer introductions thread] (Not for chatting)

Hi I'm the Artir Zor. Although there are those that call me . . . . Gerard. I have one or two questions but they can wait until the end of my post. The first game I ever played, back in 1999, the original Prince of Persia, ya know the 2D sidescroller, back before 3D graphics and the PS2 ruined it. I first picked up a NAG back in 2004, it was the one with Battle for Middle-Earth II on the cover, in fact I still have that one. . . somewhere.

After buying NAG at irregular intervals over the next two years I finally got the internet and, after getting a gmail account, decided to register here. Unfortunately I forgot my user-name, and my password, and my gmail accounts password, then I discovered fanfiction which took up most of my time for the next two years. Then to add injury to insult the Interwebz broke up with me. B***h.

Now I have finally rediscovered the NAG Forums! Fear me Interwebzzz!

I am know throughout the cosoms for my love of killing things extremely bad puns and lame-yet-funny jokes.

Now for the interro- eh I mean questions: first off how do I change my user name? Cause right now it's Artir_ZOr and I want it to be Artir_Zor. Yeah, I F'ecked up BAAAAd.

Also what is this sites policy on Necro-Posting?

And finally when, or if, I earn a tag can I get it in Green? Your probably gonna do it in some other colour now aren'tcha?

I think to change your nick you'll have to speak to one of the forum mods, or create a new Forum account. As for Necro, i dont know why people make a fuss about it, should be able to necro a post if what you are contributing is relevant and not just a post saying howmuch you love/hate the topic, generally its not done tho.

Yeah can pretty much bet if you ever get a tag it will be pink now :P

Hi all. I haven't yet introduced myself, but have posted already. I am Jax. A junior techie and a long time gamer. My first ever game was Street Fighter II. Yep. Not Pacman or tetris. It was at a corner store, and costed 20C to play.
Oh and I know another Tribble in another forum which I won't mention. It deals with PCs mostly. Not sure what format it's in though

Ive been a lurker on these forums not posting much for a long while
im into pretty much all game genres except sport and racing as they bore the crap out of me

been a gamer since i was fairly young (around 4 or 5, i love me some sega etc)
my first ever game was.. i think mortal kombat 2 or something to that effect

played silent hill and resident evil in my youth and am kinda disappointed with the way they are both going
but this isn't the thread for that :p

Anyway I enjoy RPG's the most and on any platform (I even do IRL rping and forum rp XD I can't get enough of the genre). Favourite platform is PC, but that's mostly because I've been deprived of other platforms. I do play FPS and my favourite is any of the unreal tournies. I'm a rocket-launcher type of fragger. I love gadgets as do we all, but my hard earned cash goes elsewhere 'cause I have priorities... <<

I'm Toxxyc. But I get called Tox way too often :/. I'm new to gaming (about a year now) in all terms (since I got my job). I don't know how long I will be able to keep up the posting on this forum, as my office's administrator will probably block this site soon (just like www.twilightgaming.co.za and a few other gaming forums. FML).

But I like DotA, L4D2, Mirror's Edge and quite a few more games. I'm not so proud to say that I used to be VERY good in Counter Strike. Fortunately I found my bearings in life and dropped the game LOL.

I'm busy building myself a decent gaming rig, which should be done by the end of the year (buying parts as I see I need them).

But to all newbies, welcome, and happy NAGging!

EDIT: I found this thread after searching for the word "tag" to see what a tag actually is LOL. Let's just say I found out what a tag is!
