Little known indie videogame movies.
It seems the amount of indie videogame-to-movie adaptions are increasing. A while ago I saw the Dungeon Siege movie. While not exceptionally good, it wasn't eye-burning bad. At this moment I'm watching Far Cry, based on the first game. I'm only posting this because it is slightly boring. The quality isn't half bad, but definitely not Hollywood. At least it's a step in the right direction, I guess. Have any of you seen any of these movies yet and what do you think about them?

Both of those are Uwe Boll movies. You are hereby ordered to remove your eyes with a rake.

How'd I miss that? Uhm, any chance you can delete this thread before the rest of the forum wakes up, Miktar? :p

Re: Little known indie videogame movies.
After experiencing the horror, that was the BloodRayne 2 movie, I decided to stay away from all things Uwe Boll. That included the Far Cry movie. So, no. I didn't watch it. Uwe Boll is the destroyer of video game movies. He should be shot with Proton streams. Then shoved into a little box, along with all the other ghouls.

I never even knew they're out and I know half the forum swore they'd watch them to see how bad they were back in the day (I haven't been seen Bloodrayne).

Re: Little known indie videogame movies.
Still, I'm interested in seeing Tunnel Rats. I'm assuming that's by Uwe Boll, cos he was talking about making a game by the same name.
I watched a movie of his about these dudes in a jail cell. The entire movie took place in the jail cell. It was boring as hell. Although I honestly don't feel he's the worst when it comes to low budget B-Grade movies. I've seen much, much worse. (My flat-mate loves B-Grade action movies - although, in his defence, he admits it's a guilty pleasure.)

they were terrible to say the least
i swear they almost put me of gaming movies in general
most are.. rubbish but you do get the occasional good one
like the dead space move that acted as the prequel to the game, i loved!
it went well with the comic, which was awesome

Re: Little known indie videogame movies.
mentioning dead space is kinda unfair because as far as i recall it was commissioned by EA, i.e they wanted it done.
i kinda like uwe boll, unfortunatly he tries to make theas films while sticking too closely to the game in question, this is his downfall. mind you he has managed to up the quality of his films in recent times.
