Alright ppl, just created an account to let everyone know that MW2 is playable offline with the right modifications, friends and myself have tested this as well as the co-op and it is 100% working.
(will require you to learn a few console type commands)

A decision would have to be taken by the organisers of RaGE as to what they will allow or if the possibility of an online connection is happening or not.

Either way, buy the game so you can cover both possible scenarios.

I am busy writing up a step by step guide for the offline and packaging it as a single file to make life easier.

We also got to play it offline but we struggled getting some of our friends PC's to get it to work and ended up not playing it at all, only the ppl with Windows 7 was able to play it.

    4 x R300 = R1200 ??????

Anyways they got the VC crew that helps setup and run the network giving a very very high uptime with rare occurrences of people going down for a small time.

    Option 2
    Weekend Expo Ticket 4X R80 = R320

Dude the Old Dependable games that are there every year like COD4 MW, Warcraft 3(DotA), Counter-Strike.
New additions will include STARCRAFT II, COD MW2 If they can get the Fiber optic Internet going. That I think will be that Most played games at Rage apart from the odd Command & Conquer, Battlefield 2, Quake III and so on.

NAG LAN tickets go on sale on the 1st August, which this year falls on a Sunday.
The total number of tickets that will be available for sale are 2080, they cost R300 per person, and there is a limit of five per person that can be purchased. Computicket bookings will be open online after 24h00 on Saturday 31 July 2010, so if you have a credit card you can get yours then, but will still need to go to a Computciket at some point before 1 Oct to pick up your ticket. If not, then you'll need to go to any Computicket branch on Sunday 1 August when they open and buy your ticket in person.

A list of game suggestions and servers that will be running will be posted by VC on this forum much closer to the event, so you can have your say then.
